Unnamed Road, 67037, Aremogna
Been here?
This location is a large field or meadow on a calm plateau, but it is not an established motorhome pitch. The latest information indicates that the GPS leads to a ski-station car park, while an earlier overnight stay was stopped because parking there was prohibited. The area can be very quiet and cold at night, with sheep and livestock guardian dogs nearby.

The GPS point takes us to a large car park at a ski resort. This is not what we were looking for.
Beautiful quit place, aggressive life stock guardian dogs when we entered the territory, but they left us as we slowly continued. Just the cool wind, and sheep in the background.
It was indeed quiet… the four dogs did pass by, but did not come towards us. Quite cold at night. The big surprise was the police, who woke us in the morning and said that parking there was forbidden.
Unfortunately, we cannot quite understand the good reviews here. The place is very beautiful, but at the indicated location there is no camping spot, just grass/field on both sides of the path. We felt that we would damage something by simply driving onto it, so we left again. In addition, four large shepherd dogs came directly towards us.
We thought, wow, 19 five-star reviews. But tastes differ: we found it boring and drove on to the monument 7 km north. That was five stars for us.
An extraordinary spot, with the blessing of the local shepherds! However, be careful: at night the temperatures were slightly below 0°C, contrary to the weather forecast.
Magnificent place that gave us plenty of coolness at night during this sweltering August. However, while driving along the path to stop, we encountered about ten dogs on their own, which was a little worrying. We parked quite far from where we had seen them, and none came near the vehicle.
Beautiful place; the photos speak for themselves. Two notes nevertheless: 1. It is risky during thunderstorms because the vehicle is the highest point in the valley. We parked beside an abandoned house. 2. At night, about 25 cows surrounded us at the house, touching the vehicle with their horns and bodies. So be careful and preferably park farther away. And do not leave any rubbish here!
Very quiet, flat, and immense! Beautiful panorama over the plain. Cool at night even in August and easy to access.
We stopped for lunch in this magnificent valley with large meadows. There is a path for walking; for anyone wanting to relax, it is an oasis of peace. P.S. Thanks, Yari ;)
A timeless interlude in this beautiful mountain cirque. We were alone in the middle of August. Very easy to access with our 6 m motorhome. One of the best spots of our two-week road trip in Italy!
Incredible setting! You must not be afraid of being alone on these plains. In summer, this spot provides a little coolness for an evening/night.
