86 Chemin de la Tour Magné, 30900, Nîmes
Been here?
A few roadside parking spaces in a quiet residential area near the Tour Magne and Jardins de la Fontaine. The city centre is about 15–20 minutes away on foot through the gardens, with a drinking-water fountain nearby. Access is narrow and suited to small vehicles, the surface is uneven, and the location is intended for daytime parking rather than overnight stays.

Parked in a residential area near the roundabout for a few hours in the afternoon. Everything was quiet and unobtrusive. The city center is reachable on foot in 15 minutes. During our city walk, we also discovered residential areas above the city near the Jardin de la Fontaine where you could park without problems. Overall, everything is very tight and more suitable for vans than campers.
Great spot for visiting the city, right next to the Tour Magne; you just have to cross the garden (beware of the gate opening hours). It seems very safe, but access is only suitable for small vehicles. On the other hand, it is very close to houses, so we would not spend the night here.
There are more than 2 or 3 spots up there. However, a couple of the big houses are having big work done so there are plenty of workers' vans around. Park close to the edge and tuck your mirrors in. I'm not sure I would stay overnight there but very handy to walk through the park to the centre (park gates shut at 8pm in March)
Perfect for visiting the magnificent city of Nîmes. We parked here today with our motorhome, which is over 7.5 m long.
Great for visiting the city. A couple of shaded spaces have shade practically all day, the area feels very safe, and there is a fountain two minutes after entering the park. A little uneven for sleeping. In the morning the garden staff park here, and around 1 p.m. there is plenty of space again.
Ideal for parking the vehicle during the day while visiting the city. At the entrance to the Jardin des Fontaines and very close to the Tour Magne. A beautiful 20-minute walk to the city through the garden. Not suitable for long motorhomes. The climb is steep and the passages are narrow.
Narrow to reach but ideal for standard campers or motorhomes. Very quiet and right beside the city center. Thank you for the contribution. Respect the neighbors if you do not want this “beautiful place” to disappear!
This place is a real success. Fifteen minutes from the center through the Fontaine gardens. There is a water fountain 100 meters after entering.
Lots of parking on the road in high walled residential area . Felt safe parked out VW camper and walked into Nimes through La Jardines Fountain, visited La Tour Magne on the walk down.
Not suitable for motorhomes, only for VW buses or short panel vans because the parking spaces are too short.
Very convenient to visit Nimes. Being so close to the beautiful Jardins de la Fountaine was such a bonus as was the nearby drinking water pump in the gardens. Quiet and secluded in the evening but we were woken very early by lots of cars coming to park all around the junction - including a whistling gardener who arrived pre-dawn!
We arrived in a van and discovered this place after a very steep climb (about 35° over a stretch), where we were the only motorhome at this time of year. A quiet place with only a few cars in the evening. We had a good night, but were woken at 7:30 by the increasing passage and parking of vehicles. Parking here is free. I still recommend it because of the safety of the place.
