Been here?
This is a free camping area in the mountains, surrounded by nature and suited to hiking or mountain biking. It offers mountain views, several level spaces, waste bins, picnic tables and barbecue pits, although fires are prohibited from Mayo to octubre. The narrow, steep and winding access road is surfaced but difficult for large vehicles. Weekday nights can be very peaceful, while weekend evenings may become crowded and noisy.

Wonderful views. We stayed for two nights; it was very quiet and relaxing.
We arrived this afternoon and saw several campers gathered together, loose dogs, a few ‘alt-hippies’ and techno(?) music. Given the previous reports about people partying on Saturdays, we decided to drive on anyway... :)
Good place for camping and sleeping. From May to October, lighting fires in the barbecues is prohibited. The fines are very high, and rightly so. The surroundings must be protected because of the high fire risk.
Very beautiful spot overlooking the mountains just 30 mins from Benidorm. GPS took us to restaurant, but just follow the main road on until you see the ‘camping’ road sign. Was about to use bbq but were approached by 2 volunteers to say it’s dangerous. There was a language barrier but assumption was because of the fire warnings possibly. - visited 2nd week of Aug so warnings could have changed.
Fantastic place with a very beautiful view and peace and quiet! We stayed for two weekday nights and there was nobody else there. Beautiful surroundings for walking. Containers are available for disposing of waste.
A great location in the beautiful mountains for hiking and mountain biking. Road is steep and windy but well surfaced. We were fine in a 6.4m MoHo. Several spots with level parking. Bins for general waste. Only other facilities were bbq pits. Had 2 very peaceful nights here. Might be difficult ground in wet weather.
Friday night was great; we were alone there. From Saturday afternoon, many people arrived and immediately surrounded our car with tents. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful and quiet place. The entire road is narrow for the last 20 km, but the road leading up to the campsite is newly asphalted all the way. Large motorhomes can reach the campsite without problems.
Beautiful camper spot, very nice view in the middle of nature. But we were there on a Saturday and were surrounded by about 50 partying young people. Goodbye night’s sleep. A perfect spot, then, but not on a weekend evening.
Quite isolated camping area, in the middle of nature, on top of the mountain at 600 m. Access is via a narrow mountain road, difficult for large vehicles. Spectacular views and very peaceful. Camping is permitted. There is a barbecue area, closed in summer, and picnic tables. Little mobile coverage. Please leave the area clean and collect your rubbish.
Great spot with views and a barbecue. Highly recommend.
Very beautiful place. Close to hiking routes; we are completely alone up here. For vans over 6 m, only if they have good ground clearance.
Very steep and narrow upheel drive - very popular among cyclist (port Bernia), so pay particular atention or avoid if scared. Otherwise beautiful location with no services, only picnic tables and fireplaces. Small buses (VW T4 or crafter) will do just fine. Do not follow google maps, just look for a sign "zona d'acampada Bernia"
Great location and nice to be away from towns, but there is dog poop everywhere. Lots of other vans on a winter Friday night and even more when we got back from a hike Saturday afternoon. No services or water and people park pretty close together.
Really cool area to camp, but make sure you have everything you need because it is a long way down. It took me 30 minutes to get up on these small roads. The maximum incline on the last part is 17%. The location is 640 meters above sea level.
We spent two very peaceful nights. The first night we were alone, and the second there were two other cars. There were barbecues and taps, but the water was turned off. The camping area is signposted on the road. A trail to the Forat de Bernia starts nearby.
beautiful and quiet place with stunning sunsets and sunrises. as described a little tricky to find since Google maps doesn't know the road but there is a sign from the main road and if you turn on the satellite view in maps you can easily find the road.
