A daytime parking place for smaller buses, useful for the Besseggen Ridge hike. It is approximately 2,5 km from the ferry port and 1 km from the car park where the bus departs for Gjendesheim. Overnight camping is not allowed, and additional gravel parking is available across the road.

Not for staying the night but perfect for doing the Besseggen-Ridge-Hike. Its approx. 2,5 km from this spot to the ferry port - easy to walk and you save the money for parking and the bus transfer (around 300 NOK). On the other side of the road there is additional parking on gravel. Place was now clean by the way.
Actually a nice parking place among birch trees. You can hear the nearby river. Unfortunately, this is the dirtiest place of our entire Norway trip. Why do so many people who were here before us leave their rubbish and waste behind? Please think of the campers who come after you.
Good parking place for saving the parking fee at Reinsvangen, about a 10-minute walk away.
No camping. Otherwise, a nice roadside place; further in, there are many fire pits. We also saw trout jumping in the river.
