Via Moretto, 3, 6944, Cureglia
Been here?
Quiet, well-kept small campsite in Cureglia near Lugano, popular as an overnight stop for travellers passing through Switzerland toward Italy. Check-in is unusual: reception is often unattended, with entry handled by phone or a screen/intercom, and a barrier code given after payment. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, sanitary facilities clean and modern, though the field pitches can be uneven. A drop-in/drop-out rate (around 35-40 CHF for two people with electricity) is offered for late arrival/early departure. A recommended restaurant/pizzeria sits next door, though a minority found the owner unfriendly or check-in confusing.

An idyllic campsite in the mountains. We were passing through. The prices at the nearby Moretto restaurant were sometimes high, but unfortunately the food did not justify the price. Otherwise, the site is quite good.Translating
We found this campsite while passing through. Nice welcome and everything very clean. Gladly again.Translating
Great campsite, highly recommended. Very quiet, super-clean, friendly fellow campers and accommodating staff. The restaurant next door is also recommended, though rather expensive (typically Swiss). We stayed for two nights and would return anytime.Translating
Absolutely to be avoided.Translating
We spontaneously stopped here while passing through. Uncomplicated welcome, spacious pitches, new and clean sanitary facilities. The restaurant next door is highly recommended.Translating
Even one star is too much for this campsite. From my own experience: very unfriendly, disrespectful staff and miserable service. I strongly warn against booking here.Translating
While passing through, we easily got a pitch for one night despite the site being fully booked. Clean sanitary facilities, etc. Thank you for still providing a spontaneous place during high season—that is actually the whole point of it. Otherwise, I could book an apartment. Keep it up!Translating
We stayed here at short notice. We were pleasantly surprised: a nice little campsite with clean, well-maintained sanitary facilities. Very friendly, with good value for money. One star deducted for the lack of breakfast options. No bakery nearby. Not a problem if you are prepared. We wanted to have breakfast at the Notting Hill bar, but campers are not welcome there. Unfortunately.Translating
Very rude and racist owner. If you arrive late and your reserved spot is occupied, be sure to take a photo. Otherwise they will tell you in the morning that you lied, without any proofs. Worst camping experience ever.
Passing through. Cost for one night for two people in CHF: 10 per person x 2 4.05 tax x 2 20 caravan 5 F.E.M. Total: 53.10 Robin came to welcome us a few minutes after our arrival and after answering the intercom at reception, showing himself to be kind and helpful. Grass-covered parking area without shade.
No stars for this campsite, which has no reception. Everything is done online, only in German, via a screen on the other side of a window. A telephone is placed next to it, and you are only supposed to call once the reservation has been paid. Then you can enter the campsite, with no shade whatsoever... We did not stay. There should be a minimum standard. Advertised price: 54 Swiss francs (€70).Translating
We stayed for one night while traveling to Italy. Check-in by phone at reception worked perfectly, and we were assigned a pitch. Very nice people at reception! The pizzeria next door is highly recommended, with great pizza and more. The Wi-Fi there, which is not available on the campsite, also works perfectly.Translating
I can only praise it. The campsite turned out to be quiet and dignified, actually beautiful. It is therefore not only suitable for a stopover. It is also worth staying several nights and exploring the area around Lake Lugano (Ceresio) with the Ticino Ticket. I would gladly come back.Translating
Very friendly welcome and good pitch. We were passing through and were given perfect directions by phone. Good restaurant at the entrance. Absolutely recommended.Translating
Quiet site with enormous charm. The operator is simply cool. We arrived at 7 p.m. and everything was smoothly coordinated remotely.Translating
Very beautiful, well-maintained campsite with spacious grassy pitches. Uncomplicated check-in, even though we arrived after 7 p.m. and were only passing through. Good restaurant directly at the site. We will gladly come again!Translating
We stayed here for one night and it was very pleasant. Good access, friendly owner and clean washroom. We would come again!Translating
There are 4 unreserved spaces for travelers passing through. Access and information by phone. Everything is very nice and friendly. New sanitary facilities. Perfect.Translating
Excellent campsite, friendly and helpful staff, very clean bathrooms, easy access although somewhat far from the center and not very close to public transport. Great value for money.Translating
Beautiful, quiet, and clean! A very nice place where we spontaneously stayed an extra day.Translating
Very nice, quiet site with a beautifully maintained lawn. Sanitary facilities very clean and modern, with a handheld shower. The site is nestled in a charming little village. No Wi-Fi on site, only in the adjoining restaurant, where you can eat really well. Cozy beer garden. We will certainly be happy to return.Translating
Very nice, quiet site. Excellent sanitary facilities! Clean and spacious. Dogs are welcome. Friendly owner. Very straightforward check-in. Perfect for us while passing through.Translating
Very good! Flat pitch, good-quality facilities, drop-in/drop-out for CHF 40 including electricity. The manager is friendly.
Great campsite! Drop-in/drop-out, with arrival after 6 p.m. and departure before 9 a.m., for CHF 40 for a van, two people, and electricity! The person at reception was incredibly friendly—top-notch!
We were here on the way back from Tuscany. Straightforward registration, very cheerful host, excellent sanitary facilities. Incredibly quiet and green, truly relaxing before continuing the journey. The Grotto Ticinese, about a 15-minute walk away, is highly recommended!
Beautiful campsite surrounded by greenery just outside the city noise. Very kind staff and a wonderfully relaxing place! I recommend it.
Very nice small campsite. The pitches are large and open, but the grassy area is also very uneven. Our leveling blocks were not enough. The sanitary building is new, but also open and airy. The pizzas at the local restaurant are delicious. You can quickly reach the city by bus.
Very nice campsite with modern sanitary facilities, very friendly staff, and inexpensive for the region at €46 for two people and a van. Gladly again :)
Difficult to find but a lovely site, unlimited hot showers and toilet paper in the toilets, and cheaper than around the Italian lakes. Adequate welcome.
