An der Kost 18, 45527, Hattingen
Been here?
Camping place on grass beside the Ruhr, near the Koster bridge and about 3 km from Hattingen’s old town. The current pitch price has been reported as 35€ plus various extras, while Wi‑Fi is unavailable. The nearby restaurant is closed, the pitches are small, and traffic from the bridge or road causes noticeable noise.

The prices listed here are absolutely incorrect. A complete rip-off. We were also asked to pay €35 for the pitch plus various extras. We left and found a fantastic nearby pitch with lots of space and greenery. We were even asked where we had got the listed price from. You really don't need this. Absolutely not recommended.
Very nice, lots of nature, and everyone is helpful.
Nice place and the caretaker is nice too. But overpriced considering a lot of things like wifi are missing. The restaurant mentioned have been closed for 4 years and you need to order out for pizzas. If you are not a regular expect nothing more then just a place to Camp for the night.
Too expensive! You pay for things that should be self-evident: €3 just to plug in, plus a flat electricity fee; €1.50 for five minutes in the shower; €2 for awnings, plus €30 per vehicle. Very expensive!
The prices are completely wrong. We had to pay €35 for a motorhome and two people. No Wi-Fi, the showers are not clean, and the site is poorly maintained.
The campsite seems to be occupied mainly by long-term campers. A corner has been set aside for motorhomes. The spaces are fairly small but paved and level. The road beside the campsite is very clearly audible. You would do better to avoid the sanitary facilities; they are as old as most of the permanent guests. There is mold in the grout and the shower leaked. And you pay €1.50 for that.
Far too expensive for what is offered. Right beside a highway bridge, and the spaces are very small. The bathrooms are very small, with no changing facilities in the showers. I would not come here again.
After completing the online reservation form, no confirmation email is sent. Fortunately there was nobody next to us; otherwise the pitch would have been tiny. The toilets in the nearest hotel are locked in the evening! Tokens for six minutes of hot water cost €1.50. It is impossible to connect without a three-phase adapter, so I paid €6 for electricity for nothing. Cash payment only, no receipt.
Small, lovely site directly on the Ruhr. The owner is very nice. The approach is not entirely straightforward; you have to make sure you take the right tunnel. But I find the site far too expensive for the value offered.
Beautiful, quiet location on the Ruhr. There are 30 spaces, almost exclusively occupied by long-term campers. We were alone on the site. The sanitary facilities are basic and older, but very clean. What bothered us was the €9 electricity charge (€6 daily flat fee plus a one-time €3 connection fee), which made one night cost €30 and rather expensive for what was offered. The site has great potential.
Pleasant campsite with friendly and very committed staff! Beautiful cycling routes start from here. We would be happy to return!
