Unnamed Road, 04416, Markkleeberg
Been here?
This is a parking area beside a lake where camping is prohibited but overnight stays are expressly allowed. A night ticket costs 12 Euro, and debit card payment is accepted; there is no electricity, water or waste disposal. The lake and swimming areas are busy during hot days but become considerably quieter in the evening, while the nearby motorway can be extremely loud at night. Public restrooms are about 500 meters away and available free during opening hours.

Having to pay yet again for nothing, and at night twice as much, so German people who want to enjoy a little weekend feeling get charged extra. Poor Germany, this cannot continue.
As already mentioned in the previous comments: camping is prohibited, overnight stays are allowed. However, I was unsure what that meant for a rooftop tent... In the reviews I read something about the municipal enforcement office—yes, they really did patrol in the early evening, but at that time I was at the lake. Beautiful view. The motorway noise did not bother me. Everything was great!
The place is not recommended. Fine as a daytime parking area, but at night the motorway is extremely loud. Only use it if you cannot find anything else. Price is €12 to stay overnight. The ticket is then valid until 9 the next day.
A very well-maintained parking area without litter or other contamination. During the day it is very busy because of the canoe park and the “sports beach.” But in the evening it becomes peaceful and you park on the grass with other overnight guests. The €12 price is rather high considering there are not even any bins.
Late arrival is also possible, as there is a machine that only accepts EC cards. Quiet location in the evening with plenty of space. Short walk to beautiful swimming coves and excellent cycling paths.
Great option for staying overnight; there are several swimming areas by the lake with snack facilities. Although it is currently vacation season, the site is fairly quiet by evening.
The night was quiet. Great surroundings for an evening walk. You can eat well uphill.
Unfortunately outrageously expensive: for the weekend you have to pay three times (arrival, overnight stay, and the following day from 9 a.m.). The machine only accepts coins, and hardly anyone nearby can give change. The operator checks and points out in an unfriendly manner that we are only tolerated; there is also no way to dispose of rubbish, which we are supposed to take with us. There is no service. Nevertheless, they are happy to take the money.
Camping prohibited, overnight stays allowed. The municipal enforcement officers arrive faster than you can put out a chair and point it out in an unfriendly manner. Staying at the nearby campsite costs the same. Regards.
The site has been open again since Easter! There is no more beautiful place near the lake if you are looking for a pitch. It is a shame that the price has been increased!
Unfortunately currently closed. The entrance is blocked by a bollard.
