came her to cool down from the scorching sun only to find a sign saying no swimming, fishing, no vehicles. infact no entry permitted due to being a place of nature. out of respect for the sign, we did not stay.
Quiet and pleasant, beside the water.
Quiet place. Great swimming. Two or three spaces maximum. To get there, take the dirt road from the D749, before or after the D86. Be careful, some branches may hang down and touch the roof. Parking is fine with a 6 m motorhome near the bridge or under the trees.
It is a nice spot, next to numerous recreational areas. There was a fisherman when I arrived, but he soon left. We spent a peaceful night. You can hear traffic from the road, but it remains quiet. Be careful not to follow the GPS, as you have to turn before the bridge.
Great little quiet spot set back from the busy Châtellerault/Chauvigny road. Bread dispenser in the town hall square in Bellefonds. Producers' shop at Vieux Bellefonds open at the end of the week (see their website). Shops in Bonnes and Bonneuil.
