A free parking area with a designated motorhome section, close to Sömmerda’s centre and a park. It is quiet at night, with the town centre about 400m away and a swimming pool beside the parking area open until 21:00 during the main season. There are no services, so it suits self-sufficient vehicles.

If you can stay self-sufficiently, this place in Sömmerda is unbeatable. Free, in an idyllic location. Quiet at night and still very close to the city. Add a waste and water service station and it would get five stars.
There is a designated area for motorhomes in the parking lot. Everything is tip-top there, but there is absolutely no service. Everything else has already been described. We also exchanged a gas bottle at OBI; unfortunately, OBI is still expensive at €30.99 for 11 kg.
We spent a quiet night here in the large parking lot. We also quite liked the small town center, about 400 meters away. The adjacent new outdoor swimming pool is now even open until 9:00 p.m. during the high season.
Safe place to stay overnight. The park right next to it seems pretty cool, I'm sure any kid would like it. Lots of people in the morning walking dogs, but they were nice, and no one bothered us. Big trash bins on the parking lot.
Warning: do not follow the sat-nav! Drive the last few meters by sight; do not turn left, but go straight ahead. You can see the parking lot. Otherwise, you will end up in the narrow residential area! Very quiet, close to the city center, and great for one night.
