Camping Markiess

Very friendly welcome from the brothers who run the site. Motorhome pitches on a green meadow! The sanitary facilities are clean and like new. Many cycling tours start directly from the site. World Cup evenings in the TV room. We felt very comfortable here. The price-performance ratio is right. We would happily come back!

The site was full of permanent campers. Motorhomes are on the meadow "behind the house." Wi-Fi only for a fee (€2/day). Services are rustic. Sanitary facilities good. Staff friendly. Beautiful surroundings (cycling tours, dunes—ticket required! Checks take place). Overall: cheaper options are available.

The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. The whole site is very clean and well maintained. There is also a good shopping center very nearby. We took some lovely bike rides through the dunes (buy a dune ticket or you will be fined); you can buy one at the campsite. We liked it very much and will return.

Hey, in the super-clean washroom there is toilet paper in abundance! However, when it is fully occupied, it gets a little cramped. We wanted to visit Katwijk, Bergen, Egmond, Schoorl and Alkmaar. All of these can be reached by bicycle from here. Just remember the dune pass (€2/day).

Great large pitch at the campsite. Everything is clean and available, except that the infrastructure is 2 km away. Otherwise I would have given five stars. Friendly staff, gladly again.

It has been a while since we stayed at this campsite, but everything there was perfectly fine. The operators were very friendly. The sanitary facilities were good and everything around us was perfect for us. We can recommend the site!

Very nice site, everyone is very friendly. Sanitary facilities are new and clean. Showers are free. Playground for the children. There is also a recreation room with darts, air hockey and billiards. If we are in the area again, we would happily return.

The best motorhome pitch of our entire trip through the Netherlands. Very friendly and helpful operators (brothers). The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean and modern, the service point is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Playground for our grandchildren and a small grocery store. We took a great bike ride to the wonderful beach. Too bad we stayed only one night. Clear recommendation; I would give it ten stars! Reservations recommended.

We stayed there! I am very satisfied; it is very well maintained and the sanitary facilities are clean. I would come again. The price was also okay: one night, a Multivan and two people, €27.

The campsite is highly recommended: beautiful, well-maintained grounds, superb modern sanitary facilities, and very friendly owners. Alkmaar is close by bike. We will return!

The site is about 4 km from Egmond aan Zee. The sanitary facilities are new and clean. Campers and tents stand on a meadow, sometimes very close together and without separation, so there is little privacy.

Quiet campsite with good, clean sanitary facilities. Egmond aan Zee is about an hour's walk or 20 minutes by bike. Four kWh of electricity per night is included in the price, enough for the coffee machine and refrigerator. Extremely quiet.

Nice campsite, sanitary facilities very clean. The campsite closes at 8:00 p.m. and opens at 8:00 a.m. We paid €30 for two people and a 7-meter camper, including 4 kWh of electricity per night. We had used slightly too much and had to pay extra. Be aware that electricity costs €0.60 per kWh. Otherwise everything was well provided, including Wi-Fi, clean and dirty water, chemical toilet, and a canteen with TV.
