Falkenstraße 30, 35576, Wetzlar
Been here?
This quiet, level gravel motorhome area lies beside the river, about 15 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes by bicycle from the old town. The current price is 14,50 € per night, with electricity charged separately. Grey-water and chemical-toilet disposal are clean and simple, but there are no toilets or showers. Check-in uses a QR code, and nearby shops and a restaurant are convenient.

Last year it was still €12. Now it is €14.50, with no added value. The upper limit has been reached!
Quiet location, about 5 minutes by bicycle from the old town. The site was full in July. Water is very expensive: €1 for 2 minutes. Pitch €14.50; check-in is via a QR code at the entrance.
Good place for a city visit (15 minutes on foot).
Not a great place, a bit expensive for what you get (€18 including electricity). No shade trees either. We stayed here in 38°C. The restaurant is good, 50 meters away.
The city is a long walk away and is not recommended by bicycle. The pitch is okay for one day. The Lahn Cycle Route is partly on the main road, with potholes. The cashier deserves five stars.
Spacious pitches, gravel, €14.50 without electricity. A bicycle bridge is nearby but is interrupted. The restaurant is good, with delicious pizza and very friendly staff. Many brochures are available. We would like to come back.
Quietly located with everything needed. Very good for an overnight stop while passing through.
We parked here for 2 nights during the long holiday weekend. Paid total 36€ for 2 persons including electricity. The place is clean and calm. You can pay online, QR code is written at the entrance. Or pay the attendant when he comes in afternoon or morning. There’s an Italian restaurant beside the tennis club opposite the park. Walk to Altstadt around 15 -20 minutes. I would recommend this place.
Great place to spend a night, very quiet and easy access
Okay for one night when traveling south or north. The city itself was not very interesting to us, however. Some road noise in the morning also bothered us a little.
It now costs €14.50 plus electricity. The pedestrian bridge is closed, so you have to drive through the city center to reach the old town. Unfortunately, there are few pedestrian crossings, making it an absolute catastrophe. The old town itself is not worth it, as many shops are empty. We definitely will not come again.
Great alternative! We had to get used to the electricity price.
A great service. We will gladly come again. ChaseFehmarn.
Quiet, spacious place on the edge of the center, in a residential area next to a tennis hall. There was a lot of snow when we were there (January 31, 2026), but some gravel pitches were available. Payment by bank transfer or cash in an envelope in the mailbox. We emptied our chemical toilet but did not take water. Electricity costs €4 regardless of consumption.
A small site in a good location for visiting the city. The owner is very nice. We slept well. Thank you.
I had a wonderful time here! Easy to reach, close to the city, and located by the river. Very friendly operator/caretaker. The entire site is gravel and level, with plenty of space in the clearly marked pitches.
Good location for the city, nice site, everything you need is available, and the price is also okay: €12 without electricity, €16 with electricity.
The caretaker is really friendly and makes his rounds in the evening. The pitches are large and clean, and access is easy. It is beautifully located by the river. In winter, the fresh water is turned off, but this information is not posted anywhere. Somewhat restless in the evening due to the surrounding city noise.
Easy to find on the satnav by the address and also signposted with a Motorhome sign. At the riverside. Wide bays for parking. Quiet spot off a private housing street. Would definitely recommend.
Really great and quiet motorhome site. Everything is well organized and very clean. The old town is a 10-minute walk away. Good value for money. We will definitely come again.
Everything as described. Fifteen minutes to the city. Well signposted.
Great site with electricity, water, and disposal facilities. Good value for money. Wetzlar is very beautiful, with many half-timbered houses and a lovely cathedral.
Lovely small area, pleasant and clean. The manager is very friendly and comes by morning and evening. On the first day, we could not pay with the QR code, so we put money in an envelope in the mailbox. €12 for 24 hours plus €4 for electricity. Yesterday we wanted to extend our stay, and everything worked fine with the QR code and PayPal payment. The old town is nearby, with a beautiful walk to get there, half-timbered houses, and friendly, helpful shopkeepers.
A quiet, well-organized motorhome site. The water and disposal facilities are very clean and accessible even for large motorhomes. Separate waste disposal is also clean. Payment is easy: fill out the form and put it in the mailbox, and an employee comes to the motorhome door to collect payment at around 8 a.m. or 5 p.m. (€12 plus optional €4 electricity). The gravel site is level; we did not need leveling blocks.
Everything has already been described. Arriving early is advantageous. Today, September 19, a sunny Friday, I got one of the last spots at around 5 p.m.
Top motorhome site. Check-in via QR code or on paper; payment online or to the caretaker; very quiet; close to the old town; online bread-roll service; gravel and level site; restaurant with beer garden next to the site; fair overnight price. Fresh water and disposal are fine. The atmosphere still has room for improvement.
Well located for exploring Wetzlar. Good value for money. Unfortunately, the registration information is only in German. A French camper could not have registered without our help, since nothing was described even in English. Perhaps this could be added.
The site is very quiet and offers quite a lot for the fair price: proximity to the old town, bread-roll service, and free water and disposal. Booking is easy, as is ordering bread rolls. Paying directly via PayPal would make it even easier. The pitches are sufficiently large and the site is very clean. I would like to see more offers like this. The pizzeria opposite is excellent.
Tip: The pizzeria just around the corner is highly recommended! Overall, a quiet, well-located parking spot with everything you need for a city trip. Wetzlar is very easy to reach from here!
We stayed for one night to visit Wetzlar. It was about a 15- to 20-minute walk to the attractive city center. Everything needed for such a short stay is available!
A very nice place for 12 euros for 24 hours. Everything you need. And 90 meters away there is a super nice pizzeria with friendly service and great food.
