A quiet parking area near a football stadium, forest walks and a playground about 200 meters from Hirschstein Castle. Overnight parking has been reported as tolerated by football users, but also as subject to eviction by a local village inspector. The Elbe is about ten minutes downhill and the castle about five minutes away; there is no direct Elbe view. Long motorhomes should take care on the approach.

We have been standing here for two nights; neither a so-called village warden nor anyone else has objected. We spoke with the football players who train here, and they are happy that someone is here at night. This minimizes the risk of a break-in at their clubhouse. We always enjoy staying here.
Unfortunately, the “village warden” comes and chases everyone away. A real shame for the town. Better stay away.
Very pleasant, quiet place, also because the restaurant next door was temporarily closed. Perfect with dogs, as it is right by the forest. About ten minutes downhill and you are at the Elbe; five minutes to the castle with small cafés. There were a few individual walkers on Sunday afternoon. Bins available. We were alone here.
