Great spot. Snack bar and bins next door. Bells at wake-up time. In short, do not hesitate. Watch out for branches if you have a motorhome.

Large, free, quiet, shaded parking area. A few wild boars visited at 5:30 a.m.—a lovely spectacle to observe, with no incident.

Fantastic location, shaded and very quiet. The pizzeria next door is excellent and the staff very friendly. Hiking starts nearby, including the schoolchildren’s path with the Dordogne gorges and castles, as well as the karst trail starting at the church. Thank you to the town for making such a remarkable site available for free.

Very good, shaded and level parking area. We spent a very pleasant late afternoon and night, with no noise—excellent. For anyone worried about the church bells, do not worry: they stop at 8 p.m. and start again at 8 a.m.

Very large, level, shaded parking area—well over 20 spaces as indicated. Many of us sleep here, but because of the space it is not a problem. Very quiet at night. The church bells only ring in the morning from 8 a.m., and the road is not busy at night. Less than 15 minutes from the crowds of Rocamadour. Recommended.

A quiet spot beneath the trees. There were always a few other vans there, which made it feel safer and more sociable. We had hoped for a tasty pizza from the little restaurant, but it was closed two evenings in a row. At the town hall/library you can use the toilet for free. There was also a sign saying that free Wi-Fi was available there. This place is highly recommended! During the day the parking area is full of visitors to the cave, but by evening it is completely peaceful.

Weekend of August 15: a great spot—we spent three nights there. Many people visit the Lacave cave during the day, but in the evening it is very quiet, with never more than five caravans or vans. The only drawback was that we were overwhelmed by flies and some mosquitoes due to the heat, trees, food, etc.

Lacave is a picturesque little gem on the banks of the Dordogne, 12 km from Souillac and 8 km from Rocamadour. This free parking area is very shaded, accessible to vehicles of all sizes, stabilized, and level. Several points of interest are nearby, such as the Lacave caves, Château de Belcastel, the Dordogne River, and more. No services. Satellite reception is unreliable, but 5G is excellent. Pizzeria 100 meters away.

We slept very peacefully. Plenty of space. There are not many services, but there are rubbish bins. Very good for one night.

In mid-season, when it has rained, it is possible to park in the cave parking lot. Pleasant place. Magnificent cave.

Great parking lot opposite the caves, very shady, so perfect. I spent two nights there in complete peace and was not bothered during the day either. A few short walks to enjoy, great for dogs. I could not use the tap because of a village festival (the people are lovely), but the refreshment stand drew its water from there, so it is confirmed potable.
