54 Route de Bossens, 1680, Romont
Been here?
Grassy or gravel patch above Romont with a fine view over the town and mountains, quiet at night despite regular passing walkers and dog owners, especially busy on weekends. Toilets and picnic tables are present, though the toilets are sometimes locked and a nearby complex with facilities has closed. No shade and no level ground. Height limited to 3.5t. Woodland walks and mountain-bike trails nearby; occasional police checks, tolerated as an overflow spot when Romont's official aire is full.

Unfortunately, the toilets were locked. Otherwise, it is a beautiful place.
Magnificent view in the evening, quiet, with toilets and drinking water.
We ended up staying three nights. Very quiet. It is lovely, with a playground and walking paths, as well as a complex that is currently closed, meaning there are no toilets. Every so often you hear an airplane passing, but it is not bothersome. Locals use it to walk, walk their dogs, or bring their children to the playground, always in a friendly manner. They greet you and make you feel comfortable there.
A beautiful gravel parking area with a great view of the mountains, next to a cow pasture. A few meters away there is a playground and a barbecue shelter, so it is busier at weekends. The parking spaces are popular with walkers and dog owners. We stayed here for one night and everyone greeted us warmly. A short visit to the old town and church is also worthwhile.
Very beautiful spot with a playground, bench, peace, and a view. Please keep the area clean! There is a small rubbish bin. We saw a police car pass at 7 a.m., but they did not stop. GPS tip: enter “Cabane de la mycologie de Romont” to avoid being misdirected.
