62/A Frazione Astorara, 63094, Astorara
Been here?
Small agricamping and refuge on the slopes of Mount Vettore, with tents, bungalows and a small camper area. Electricity is included, and the toilets and showers were recently reported clean; the restaurant serves typical cuisine. Access can be very difficult in bad weather, with a narrow road and limited turning space, especially for vehicles around 6m70. Music and parties have previously been very loud at night.

Everything was great; the bungalows were already closed, and I was allowed to park between them. Electricity included in the price. Shower and toilet, all clean.Translating
Only for an experienced driver, especially in this changeable weather. With 6.7 meters, I had no room in the mud, and the road was very difficult, not to mention turning around on that tiny road. A shame, because the people were very kind and the restaurant looked delicious.Translating
Very charming and the food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and relaxed, so there is every reason to stay here and enjoy yourself. But... practically everything you touch is broken, worn out and/or dirty: the shower drains are blocked, so within no time you are standing ankle-deep in shower water. The bathroom lights do not work. There is no properly lockable shower room, so the relaxed mixed use of the toilet and shower area is anything but relaxing! Plenty of picnic tables, but wear old clothes because rusty nails and splinters stick out. The wash basins are downright filthy and apparently have not been cleaned for months. Okay, one more positive point: the location is beautiful, and at €10 per person it really is a bargain.Translating
Small campsite in a totally idyllic location. Magnificent view. €20 for a camper with two people. Men’s and women’s toilets and showers are shared, somewhat makeshift, and the light did not work at first. You should not miss the food; although it is served on paper plates, you will be absolutely stuffed afterward. Super tasty and inexpensive. Very rustic restaurant.Translating
We intended to stay for one night, but we liked it so much that we stayed two more. Although some facilities, as mentioned in other reviews, could be improved, whenever an issue is brought to the managers' attention, they are always ready to resolve it with the utmost kindness and accommodate every need. A place absolutely not to be missed.Translating
We came with a camper van because of the good reviews and were disappointed. Without a small child with us, we would have driven on, as we saw many nicer campsites on the way there. Positive: delicious dinner. Negative: very loud music and partying in the evening and at night, with no consideration for campers; shared toilets and showers for camping and restaurant guests, with no privacy when showering whatsoever.Translating
Wonderful that places like this still exist. A meeting place for everyone who wants it, run by passionate managers/owners. Music is central. The four camper pitches are beside the road and seem to have been added later. Beautiful views, a place to make a fire and barbecue.Translating
The website says 10€ per pitch but turns out it is 10€ per person. We were told supper was 22€ each but it became 28€ without coffee or dessert. The pasta was small and cold with hairs in. We came here because of the great reviews but were very disappointed. I had an upset stomach the next day... the view is lovely though.
Highly recommended. Very nice operators, good food, and even a few songs performed by the owner. Good starting point for hiking Monte Vettore, although the ascent from this side is longer, around four hours.Translating
