Been here?
This quiet church car park in Buxeuil is on asphalt, slightly sloping and partly shaded by trees. Overnight stays have been comfortable, and picnic tables are available beside the river, although vegetation may obscure the water and a neighbouring house is close by. The parking area is calm, but church bells and occasional nighttime visitors have been reported. Cales are prohibited.

Pleasant paved area with shade. It is slightly sloping, but we slept there without leveling blocks and it was perfectly fine.
Sloped at five degrees; it is a parking area, so leveling blocks are forbidden! No view of the river because of too much vegetation. Unpleasant proximity to the neighboring house, and finally a foreign van arrived in the middle of the night a few meters away and left just after daylight. Bad choice!
Charming spot beside the water, with picnic tables. Slightly sloping, but how lovely and peaceful it is here!
Quiet area in front of the village church. We parked our motorhome under a tree in the shade. Peaceful lunch in the countryside. We recommend it, like all the other travelers.
All previous information—bells, slopes, and quietness—is still current. The trees have been cut down, making the place less idyllic, but it remains charming with its church. A friendly neighbor pointed out a water source at the church, but it was not yet open on March 29, 2022. Enjoy your stay.
