Camping Municipal Le Bourniou

Friendly welcome, shaded pitches with electricity and water. A snack bar is a real bonus. Dirty sanitary facilities, no toilet paper, no Orange mobile network, and the campsite Wi-Fi (one hour per day) did not work.

One star is already too many. Dirty sanitary facilities and showers. We arrived for a tent pitch that we had reserved, but were placed on a motorhome pitch, making it impossible to put up the tent. The man rudely dismissed us, saying we did not know how to pitch a tent. After two and a half hours, we were left without help or any solution, so we left.

We have been coming for several years, but this time unfortunately a cyanobacteria outbreak prevented us from swimming, and a martial arts gathering prevented us from enjoying the large park at the back of the campsite.

Municipal campsite with large shaded pitches, all equipped with a water connection and electrical hookup. Very friendly welcome and staff. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The price is very affordable in high season: under €20 for one motorhome and two people.

Perfect campsite with a snack bar, large shaded pitches, a pebble beach on the Dordogne, and a very pleasant and beautiful setting.

Apart from the lovely river below the campsite, which provided coolness, the sanitary facilities (showers and toilets) were not cleaned every day, and there were no activities at the campsite.

The location on the Dordogne is interesting. However, many pitches are close to the road and there is no separation between plots. The pitches are quite small. We felt very cramped and heard our neighbor snoring all night. Cold showers, and although the facilities are labeled for men and women, this is ignored. Toilet bins were overflowing. Bread service was okay.

Pleasant welcome. Quiet despite the proximity of the pitches, swimming in the Dordogne, and very heavily used sanitary facilities.

Lovely campsite, friendly helpful staff, shady pitches. Some maintenance needed in the showers, temperature of water wasn’t consistent and some didn’t stay in for longer than a few seconds. Also the seals around the doors needed replacing as there was large gaps around the doors so you could see into the cubicle which wasn’t ideal when mixed genders using them. We would come back though .

When I arrived, reception was closed and the barrier was down. A sign said to ring the doorbell or call a mobile number. Nobody responded to the doorbell, and the phone only gave a voicemail message referring to the website. Reception could hardly be organized worse; they still have a lot to learn.

Really friendly welcome! Very spacious grounds under trees. The river is 60 to 100 meters away across the lawn. Sanitary facilities are perfectly fine. Free Wi-Fi. In early June, the campsite is almost empty. You can clearly hear the road on the other side of the river and over the bridge into town. What was particularly disturbing was the groups of motorcyclists, at least on the weekend.

Beautiful campsite near the Dordogne, with the possibility of ordering bread and pastries. Few people; we were there in mid-September. Greenway nearby. €18.80 per day with electricity, two people, and one motorhome. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to the municipality.
