This gravel pitch overlooking the lake is currently closed during summer ‘26 because of railroad crossing maintenance. When accessible, it has been described as quiet, with no services and a nearby walk to the lake. The approach requires using the earlier turning because another access is blocked.

Parking in a residential area; motorhomes have no business here. We left out of respect for the nearby homes.
Lovely view and a very quiet place for the night. A short walk nearby. No services.
You need to take the exit before it. The exit shown by the navigation is blocked, but the previous exit still works. Beautiful place. Flat road. We were not bothered by the railway. There was no open toilet nearby, but we slept wonderfully and it is a beautiful spot by the lake.
Beautiful, quiet place to stay overnight. Rättvik is too far to visit on foot, but it is fine by bicycle. You can walk straight to the lake for a refreshing swim.
Quiet place to sleep near the lake. There are more than five spaces, and even in high season they were not full. We were there with another camper.

There are two routes; one is blocked and the other is open. The open route comes first and is shown incorrectly on maps. Joggers pass by from time to time. Otherwise, a wonderful place.

Beautiful, quiet place with enough space and a lovely view of the water. As written here, a train occasionally comes by and honks, which did not bother us. However, the train no longer ran late in the evening.
Good place to stay in the low season. A bit far from the city center, but quiet and peaceful. As mentioned earlier, the train passes quite close by and sometimes honks.
Nice place for one night. The train does indeed pass regularly, but it is quiet at night. We were treated to a spectacular view of the Northern Lights; see the photo.
We had a super-quiet night! The train really does come by rarely, and of course it honks to warn people before the crossing. The site is absolutely recommended in the off-season.
The place is great, but the noise from the trains is indeed disturbing from 7 a.m. There are quite a lot of people, but it is very well located near the lake.
