Quiet lakeside area, limited electricity

Very nice stop, easily accessible. The only drawback is the people who have treated it as a permanent campsite, illegally occupying spaces, etc. I also took photos to report this to the relevant authorities. Besides some long term stayers (at least that’s what we think) there was nobody else. Nice spot close to the lake with electricity! We had a nice view of the park behind us (which was also not busy).

I live in the area and often use the service facilities, which are fine. Unfortunately, for a few months there have been permanent residents occupying many spaces and taking the electrical sockets, and discharging directly into the area’s drain with large hoses... very ugly to see!✦Translating

I returned to this parking area after two years and found that there are now three electricity columns: one by the restaurant, between the two previous ones now out of use, and two by the park, for a total of 12 connections. The two new columns by the park also have water outlets.✦Translating

It’s ok. I would say a lot of long term parkers there and all very cramped in. We had the last space at 5pm and lots more still trying to get in after that. Bins were full, water free. Restaurant/car park behind loud until midnight and they emptied the glass bottles into the bin right before closing…inconsiderate. Ok for the price but wouldn’t go back.

15 spaces now with new electricity supply, 12 connections of 16 amps each. Unfortunately, 3 spaces are occupied by permanent campers. Payment is €11.50 per day via the EasyPark app. Electricity, gray water, and fresh water are free, as described. Thanks to the municipality. A 12.8 km cycle path around the lake passes directly by the site. Good.✦Translating

Used only for the free and functional water filling and emptying services. It is fairly full toward evening, partly because some people “reserve” spaces from the afternoon by occupying them with chairs and leveling blocks…✦Translating

For us, the site was absolutely fine for two nights. If you need electricity, you can talk to the others and connect via multi-sockets. Water and waste disposal worked. Thanks to the municipality for providing a site at a very fair price. Incidentally, we also had no ticket on the windshield because we did not have a printer to print the EasyPark screenshot.✦Translating

We have been coming for several years. Recently the area has mostly been occupied by permanent residents, who discharge gray water directly onto their pitches and also occupy all the few available electrical outlets. The area costs €10 per day; I did not see any ticket displayed in their campers. Does it make sense to pay so that they can use a service paid for by tourists?✦Translating

There was space, but five permanent Italian campers were connected to the electricity and were relatively unfriendly when we inspected the electrical connections hidden under plastic sheets. The lake can be completely circled by bicycle or on foot. We stayed one night and it was okay; we did not need electricity. Basically safe and fine.✦Translating

The place is nice and on the lakeshore. Unfortunately, there is a sewage discharge in the meadow in front. The place is occupied by permanent residents who bother arriving visitors. Few services and excessive price. The site is completely abandoned to the aggression of those present. The adjacent restaurant is noisy. A shame, because the lake is wonderful.✦Translating

The location directly on Lake Comabbio is beautiful in itself. Far too few electrical outlets. On Sunday afternoon, 95% of the pitches were occupied. The restaurant owner apparently does not like campers and repeatedly set off his alarm in the evening. If you enjoy aircraft noise until around 11 p.m., this is the place for you. The bins do not make up for it. Definitely overpriced!!!✦Translating

Nice camp ground, other campers were quite noisy and up late (1:00am) which was a bit rude for other campers trying to sleep. No toilets on the campground. If you arrive after 8:00pm you can download an app called ‘flowbird’ which gives you free parking till 6:00am. The restaurant across the road was decent and cheap

Stayed for one night in February 2025; the machine was out of order. We stayed for free. There is no fence. Many campers present. Everything was quiet and fine.✦Translating

We stayed for lunch, but given the surroundings, we left for Varese for the night. The place did not feel safe to us. Large, flat pitches, well located nonetheless.✦Translating

We have now been there for the third time and like the place. However, there is not always electricity. The first time in 2024, the electricity was on constantly; the second time, at the beginning of March 2025, it was available for at least half a day. This time there was no electricity at all. We always pay at the parking meter with coins; paying by card has never worked for us.✦Translating

Convenient and quiet parking area. Close to amenities and surrounded by restaurants, which nevertheless do not disturb. The lake is just a stone's throw away. There is a standard parking meter. When we arrived, the area reserved for campers was almost full, but we parked next to a very helpful family who even set up a table and chairs between two of their own campers without causing any inconvenience.✦Translating

March 8: very good location for the lakeside cycle path. Aircraft noise every 5 minutes. Water dumping and filling are not very convenient; the black water must be dumped together with the grey water. Electricity is available from only two posts, each with two sockets, but we found them occupied by 6 or 7 campers all connected together using double and triple adapters. (Safety!) €10 is fine, but there should at least be a distinction between those who connect to electricity and those who do not.

The place is on the lakeshore, not particularly clean, but it has the essential facilities.

Beautiful and very peaceful place. Very close to the cycle path. The water filling and dumping area could be improved. No recycling collection. Near a restaurant with good pizzas.

Nice pitch with grey-water disposal and toilet disposal (please keep it clean when emptying!!!). Good starting point for cycling tours around various lakes. One point deducted because there is a large car park next door where trucks also park and leave early in the morning. Pizzeria in the village about 500 m from the car park, very inexpensive and tasty. Price: €10/24 hours.

A great place for one night; in the adjacent park there is a public toilet without paper. The park is very well maintained, and you can enjoy an espresso or coffee there in the morning. The adjacent restaurant deserves special mention. We must not forget that we brought plenty of Autan mosquito repellent.

Quiet, with a very good and friendly pizzeria next door. Free electricity, park and cycle path. The only downside is the mosquitoes, but that is normal next to a lake. Perfect for one night.

The best thing is Pizzaria del Lago! The rest: a great park behind it, swimming forbidden in the lake, and the price is okay including electricity. Recycling: nope. Fifteen minutes by bike to the other lake; almost everything there is private, which I find outrageous! No one is there, but it is private anyway; the masses are allowed to share a 5-metre public strip! Or it costs €6–10 per person at the lido. From 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. it costs €5. Fine for a stopover.
