Lakeside parking, frequent train noise

This is a secluded wild parking area beside the bike path and Geiseltalsee, with space for 5 to 6 vehicles. It is suitable for walking around the lake and visiting a nearby viewpoint, but there are no waste or water services. The ICE trains pass frequently and can be very loud, sometimes sounding like aircraft. There is no parking sign.

The place is nice, with a beautiful viewpoint around the corner. Good for hikes at Lake Geiseltal. Nice winery. The passing ICE train, however, sounds like an airplane, and it goes by often—really often.
I stayed here completely alone today, April 10, 2025. A few dog walkers and cyclists passed by. The high-speed ICE railway line is relatively loud; otherwise it is quiet. There is no parking sign or anything similar. No service or disposal facilities, and no rubbish bin. Take your rubbish with you!
Trains, airplanes and the whole Mug family live here. Not recommended.
Nice, quiet spot; I was alone all night. The viewpoint a few meters farther on is very beautiful, and there are benches and rubbish bins there.
Perfectly fine for one night or while passing through. At night, however, you can hear trains and airplanes.
