When we arrived at the location there was a height barrier, but the parking area is a little further down from the location, where there are spaces for motorhomes and caravans. With a caravan you extend beyond the space quite a bit, but there is room for others to maneuver.✦Translating

Large and excellent flat parking area, quiet and well lit, with toilets open 24 hours. We paid €6 from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. By staying in the first spaces at the back on the left, near some trees, you are protected from the sun in the morning.✦Translating

It is supposed to be an aire, but although there are public toilets, there is no service block. At the price they charge, they could provide one. Many motorhomes were using the toilet to fill up with water and empty their toilets. It should not be this way.✦Translating

€3 in season from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. We slept at the back of the parking area to reduce disturbance. Bins available and toilets, but closed at night. The entrance to the citadel is a one-minute walk away. Perfect for one night.

We have already spent the night here twice to visit Carcassonne, which is less than a 10-minute walk away. We make sure to arrive after 8 p.m. and leave before 8 a.m. so it is free.

Quiet night, little noise. Illuminated parking area 10 minutes from the cité. It is great that overnight stays are allowed here and that it is free from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the cité, somewhere quiet and reasonably priced.
