5 Chemin de Montlegun, 11000, Carcassonne
Been here?
This large, unpaved dirt lot near Carcassonne's medieval town accommodates any size motorhome and has spacious maneuvering room. Located 10 minutes' walk from the city center with public bathrooms, it's well-suited for visiting the medieval town. Free overnight stays 20:00-8:00; daytime fees apply. Very dusty with no shade.

It is fine, close to the center, dirt pitches, and with toilets.Translating
Sunny and unpaved. A 10-minute walk from the center. It is huge, perfect for maneuvering, and any size motorhome can fit.Translating
Spacious area, but without any shade; it is a dusty wasteland, somewhat expensive for what they offer. The only good thing is its proximity for visiting the old town.Translating
Quiet parking area for spending the night, with toilets nearby. A 5-minute walk to the city. Free from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.Translating
It is exactly what you see in the pictures, with no surprises.Translating
Parking; buses and camper vans are allowed for a fee. A sign marks the site next to the parking area.Translating
Parking (2). Free day and night for buses and motorhomes from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. For example, €10 from 4:30 p.m. to 10 a.m.Translating
Looked ok but we could get around the 2.5m height restriction signs so darent take the risk and returned to the signed campervan stop.
Perfect place to visit the castle; we spent two nights without any problems.Translating
Ideal for walking to Carcassonne from here. You are there in no time. Spacious pitches, clean.Translating
Complaint: huge amounts of rubbish all around the parking area. When they charge €20 for the day, they should hire people to clean and issue fines.Translating
This parking area is not suitable for caravans or vans; it has a height barrier. The one suitable for caravans is right next to it.Translating
When we arrived at the location there was a height barrier, but the parking area is a little further down from the location, where there are spaces for motorhomes and caravans. With a caravan you extend beyond the space quite a bit, but there is room for others to maneuver.Translating
Large parking area, convenient for visiting the city, sunny, unguarded.Translating
We arrived at 8 p.m. and did not pay to spend the night. Many spaces. A 10-minute walk from the center. We were fine, but saw broken glass on the ground in one of the spaces.Translating
We came in the evening just visit the castle and spend one night.Theres no service. We felt safe during the night. We left before 8 am so we didnt pay anything.Recommend
We arrived at 7 p.m. and left at 9 a.m. We paid €6. Ideal for arriving late, taking a walk around Carcassonne, and sleeping. Many spaces.Translating
Large and excellent flat parking area, quiet and well lit, with toilets open 24 hours. We paid €6 from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. By staying in the first spaces at the back on the left, near some trees, you are protected from the sun in the morning.Translating
It is supposed to be an aire, but although there are public toilets, there is no service block. At the price they charge, they could provide one. Many motorhomes were using the toilet to fill up with water and empty their toilets. It should not be this way.Translating
Large parking area. The streetlight stays on all night but provides security. Quiet, with accessible public toilets nearby. Free between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.Translating
Ideal for spending one night. Parking with plenty of space and very quiet. Free public toilets.Translating
This is only a paid parking area for cars, at all times.Translating
€3 in season from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. We slept at the back of the parking area to reduce disturbance. Bins available and toilets, but closed at night. The entrance to the citadel is a one-minute walk away. Perfect for one night.
We have already spent the night here twice to visit Carcassonne, which is less than a 10-minute walk away. We make sure to arrive after 8 p.m. and leave before 8 a.m. so it is free.
Quiet night, little noise. Illuminated parking area 10 minutes from the cité. It is great that overnight stays are allowed here and that it is free from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the cité, somewhere quiet and reasonably priced.
