One star less for the following reasons: the pitches are not clearly marked, which causes confusion; it is unclear why you cannot put an awning, table, and chairs on your pitch; and I do not like having to pay in cash. The best feature is the possibility of using the services with a personal card—you only pay for what you use. It is a seven-minute walk from the lake.

Convenient for the lake. All services are charged separately, including electricity and water.

Nice place very close to the center of Velden. I had an issue to get in. I called the phone number and they helped me quickly. Payment only in cash. (20, 10, 5 €)

Stayed for a night. It was one of the many parking lot that had any places left. Very quiet at night, but you have to pay tax + staying the night. There's free wifi.

Okay for one night, €20. Electricity and tourist tax are extra. Little shade, with the possibility of emptying and filling water. Automatic payment is cash only, gives no change, and does not accept €50 notes.

Fine for a day trip or one night. However, everything costs extra here except toilet disposal and rubbish. At €18, it is already very expensive. The place is also packed, even in the low season. Campers are parked tightly together, and when there is no space outside, people park in the middle. They really extract every possible euro from this place.

It's small, crowded and expensive (18+5.4 EUR). You can only pay in cash, you have to register with the local municipality. The only advantage is that it's close to the lake.

Very pleasant owner of the place. We had a dead battery, he came by his car and helped us with everything for free! We even got a CEE cable from him as we realized that the stores are closed because of the public holiday. The area is close to the lake, we absolutely recommend for overnight stay. Thank you once again.

Not our first choice. Fine for overnight as long as you have your own toilet. Services are reasonable and charged. Everything is self service, you pick up an electronic card on the way in and you swipe to use services. That’s how the bill is tracked. Currently the credit card machine does not work so you need to make sure you have the correct cash! The local town and marina is nice to walk to.

Nice camper stop. Unfortunately, there are no toilets or showers; apart from that, it is okay. Nice starting point for hiking.

We spent one night here (2 people + dog + van). Despite the road, it was very quiet. The site is modern and well equipped. Two stars deducted for “cash only in 2026” and because we paid €21.50 + €5.70 tourist tax for one night.

Nice campsite with everything you need. Wonderful for visiting Velden. Tourist tax must be paid separately. For us, it was €5.40 for two people for one night.

April 9–10, 2026. €20.00 plus €2.70 tourist tax per person; everything must be paid in cash. We spent a pleasant night here. There is currently construction noise opposite, but it did not bother us particularly. Unfortunately, we had no time to visit Velden. I can recommend the site and would happily return.

Excellent place, a short distance from the center and the lake. It is next to a main road, but it was quiet here during Easter. Payment was possible only in cash even though there is a machine. The price includes a disposal point for gray water/toilets and drinking water. Great facilities in a beautiful location.

The campsite itself is okay. Registration is very cumbersome: 1. take a card at the entrance, 2. register online, 3. put the exact tourist tax in an envelope in the mailbox behind the building, 4. pay cash at the machine before leaving, 5. exit. No showers or toilets. Electricity, water, and disposal facilities are available. Road noise at night is okay, but on weekdays you are woken by the construction site next door in the morning.

Great place to spend the night. Note: drive straight to the barrier and take a parking card, then drive onto the camper site. The card is also used for water and electricity. For electricity, scan first and only then connect; not the other way around. Envelopes are available by the building; fill one out, put the tourist tax in cash inside, and place it in the designated box. Pay when leaving with your card.

Adequate place to spend the night and feel safe. It cannot be described as beautiful. A residence is being built next door, and work starts promptly at 7:00. We will not return.

We stayed here for one night. The site slopes down toward one side, so anyone bothered by that will need leveling ramps. The infrastructure is good, with Wi-Fi, electricity, waste disposal, and other facilities available; only fresh water and electricity cost extra. There is no toilet. However, we consider €18 plus €5.60 tourist tax for two people and one night far too expensive.

The parking lot is adequate, but the parking spaces are not very flat, they are quite uneven, so you definitely need to use wheel chocks to level the car. But the bigger problem is that we could only pay in cash, which was not clear upon arrival, especially since it is a fully automated parking lot, and it would never occur to me that I would not be able to pay by card.

Convenient parking area a few minutes’ walk from the lake and the town center. Clean and functional water and waste disposal facilities, with 16A electricity.

Seven minutes’ walk to the promenade. We stayed there for one night on December 27. It was not very busy. Perfect for filling up with water and emptying the toilet. The adjacent road did not bother us. There are 26 spaces, which will certainly be full in high season.

Stopped for one night. It's definitely more of a motorhome parking lot and I can imagine it would be unattractive when full. But conveniently placed. We felt €18 was expensive for off-season... would have parked in the parking place down the road for free had we not needed some electricity and water.

Very good campsite, close to the center of Velden, excellent facilities, and very nice owners who helped with a payment problem. We will definitely return.

Motorhome site with self-check-in, quiet and level, perfect for passing through. Cash only, €18 per night. Dumping is free; water costs extra. No toilet nearby. The pictures are somewhat misleading: there is no lake view from the site. All in all, good for continuing toward Slovenia and Italy.

CASH ONLY! Notes up to €20 maximum. Otherwise, a very nice site. Pleasantly empty during the Bavarian autumn holidays.

Easy to reach and spacious in the inside, so it is easy to park. Paying by card is not possible, but registration and services work automatically without any assistance. The parking lot is situated next to a somewhat busy road, so it is a bit noisy but it is quite at night. We payed 24 eur for a van and 2 adults, 18 eur for the stay, 50 cent for 50 l water and 5,5 eur for local tax.
