48 Promenade, EH21, Musselburgh
Been here?
A beachfront parking area beside a sandy beach, with bins, tables and space for walks, picnics and relaxation. It is near residential homes, can become busy, and locals may object when vans block sea views. Camping is not allowed, and an £100 fine has been reported.

This has been a lovey stay seeing all the dog walkers and little kids running about. Even saw a family having a bbq. Watch lads playing football what a lovely little town Musselburgh is.
Nice place, but according to the coast guard no one is allowed to camp here!!!! it is intended only for picnics and relaxation. All Coast Fine £100
Feels very intrusive to park up in this residential area with limited spaces for adjacent homeowners. There are more appropriate places for vans in the area.
We did not park here, as it is directly in a residential area with already scarce parking spaces. We then moved to the other side of the football field/dog park. This is the parking area further east here on park4night.Translating
Right on the beachfront although the sea remains far away along a very flat sandy beach. Lots of bins around and easy points to get down to the beach. We arrived late, no issues overnight but we did get a knock from one of the houses in the late morning… it was -1 and windy, he wanted to wash his car where we were parked apparently! No hassle, we moved on, hopefully his hands have since thawed.
Nice place to stay, I'm told it can get very busy in summer and the locals can get a little annoyed as vans block their view of the sea from their house.
Completely perfect! On the street next to the beach and near the racecourse. Peaceful, friendly dog walkers here and no one troubled us. Lidl supermarket and pubs/restaurants 10 min walk away. Shell petrol station also nearby. The 113 bus will get you into the centre of Edinburgh in 20 min!
