Small park-side area, railway noise

We spent a good night here after spending the afternoon in the town. The place is clean, with bins and a nice park with tables. The train started running at 6:00 a.m.; we barely noticed it because it passes very slowly.✦Translating

I tried to park but couldn't; six spaces were occupied. The two car parks next to it are suitable for vans, but do not exceed the marked spaces, otherwise you may get a fine. Very, very noisy at 50 metres.✦Translating

Located exactly beside the railway tracks, next to a completely littered park and various bins. Very unattractive, unsafe and dirty place. Interesting how this area treats tourists. You certainly won't see me here again.✦Translating

Very decent area, but with few spaces (5). There is car parking further ahead, but motorhomes are not allowed there in high season. Wonderful park if you have dogs and also for a short walk. The service area has everything, but could be improved. Five minutes on foot away is the Mas y Mas supermarket chain, with motorhome services (grey-water and toilet emptying, plus free drinking water during business hours). Few spaces. There is a car park next door, but you have to occupy one and a half spaces with a 6-metre camper. The train passes right beside it. However, no trains run from midnight to 6:00 a.m., so there is no noise then.✦Translating

There are six spaces, which unfortunately fill easily in high season. They are not level; if you use leveling blocks and are careful, the police usually say nothing. You can park in the car park about 100 metres away as long as you do not occupy more spaces than necessary. Overall, it is a camper-friendly town as long as you are respectful.✦Translating

It is fine. There is a place to empty grey and black water and dispose of rubbish. There is also a colony of cats.✦Translating

Be careful parking in the car park next door. Three motorhomes were fined for occupying two spaces, even though it was low season.✦Translating

Completely unsuitable for motorhomes over 7 metres. The description is also inaccurate. Use it for disposal only if absolutely necessary. There is no supermarket on site, no laundry, and so on. I would not come back. I drove straight on. Thanks for the long detour.✦Translating

There are services. They’re on the main road just behind the trees. On arrival cars parked in the motorhome bays and it was clear they knew that. Locals with children playing. We just parked up waited, had food and they went allowing us to park up. 2/3 bays on left level. Others on a slant. Trains til late and start at 6am NOISY. Town ok. Services dirty. I’d not stay again. Bin lorry at midnight!!

We spent one night in this area. The train ran until almost midnight and did not run again during the night until approximately 6 a.m.; keep this in mind if you do not plan to get up early. It was not a problem for us: we went for a walk around the town in the afternoon and left early in the morning, so it was great.✦Translating

A great place to spend the night, but quite small. As has been said, there are 6 spaces, but last night 11 vans managed to park with no problem. A short walk into the town. Services are behind the parking area on the laneway. Took us some time to find them. You need the usual adapter for the water tap.

This is not the first time we have spent the night in this area of Candás, and it will not be the last. We love the town, especially its ice-cream shops, and the surroundings of the area: a park with benches, chairs and tables, and a train station. Ideal if you are travelling with children. We are grateful to have been provided with a place like this to discover Candás.✦Translating

There are few spaces and, according to a man parked there, it is the only place where they do not issue fines, because cars in the nearby car park have been fined. It can be useful for visiting the town and filling water or emptying grey water. It is also suitable for overnight stays.✦Translating

When we arrived it was quite full, so we had to park outside the marked lines. Grey and black water disposal are okay, though improvements are certainly needed. It is a 15-minute walk to the beach and five minutes to the town centre. Check the route Google Maps gives you, because if you do not come via the main road, it may be difficult.✦Translating

The service area is free, but has significant hygiene deficiencies. The fresh-water tap is next to the black-water disposal point. The grey-water drain is poorly positioned: depending on the vehicle length, it is impossible to position yourself over it. Good. Well located, quiet and somewhat shaded. Next to a children's playground if travelling with children and a picnic area. It is also beside the railway tracks. No trains run between midnight and 7 a.m.; depending on how early you get up, this is either an advantage or a disadvantage. Bad: the entrance and exit are somewhat difficult, and the emptying area is not very good either.✦Translating

Area close to everything, including shops and the beach. I take off two stars because the fresh-water tap and toilet-cleaning tap are badly installed and can easily be confused. Still, thanks to Candás town council.✦Translating

We stayed one night. We did not use leveling blocks, but ideally I would recommend them. Next to a nice little park, with plenty of greenery around. Ten minutes' walk into town, with bars and restaurants. The train line did not bother us. We used the drain and toilet-waste disposal; everything was clean and working. Seven vans stayed overnight in total.

Very good area, and very well located near the town, park and train station for visiting more distant towns. Thanks to the town council for thinking of motorhome travellers.

Little space and uneven, so leveling blocks are needed. The disposal point is difficult or impossible to aim grey-water discharge into. Otherwise, thanks to the town council for providing this free area.

It is okay. You sleep very well, although the town is a 10-minute walk away.

It is good that the municipality provides this place where you can stay overnight. Unfortunately, the railway next to it is very loud, although it does not run at night. The water was turned off. Cars and motorcycles also drive through the front car park at night and wake you up. I would only stay here in an emergency.

Lovely place next to a park with a stream, right in the town. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. At the harbour, Heladios sells the most delicious ice cream. There is also a great fish restaurant at the far end.

Emptying and filling are perfect, although a little dirty. There were also motorhomes parked there; it seemed like a quiet place.

Useful place to top up and empty. Didn’t stay the night on this occasion but seemed pleasant enough with gently sloping bays. Very grateful for use of the facility.

Very much in need of improvement, but they offer more than many surrounding towns.
