Quiet forest parking, winter access difficult

This free, quiet parking area on the outskirts accommodates at least four motorhomes and has a picnic bench and wastebasket. It is beside the forest, with extensive hiking and cycling trails across the former opencast mine. The Berzdorfer See is nearby, although the area can be very windy. In winter, the road and parking area may not be cleared, making access difficult.

Perfect for overnight stay

I have often stayed at this site, but today is the first time in winter at -10°C. The site and road are not cleared, but despite the deep snow it is possible to park well. However, getting there is difficult in winter—so be careful!
We stopped here during a winter journey and had an absolutely quiet night. Very beautiful and clean site. Everyone should leave it as they would like to find it. The entrance and exit were cleared, and the site was easy to drive on. Many thanks to the municipality.

In itself, a very beautiful place. Unfortunately, on the night we stayed here there was a festival at the lookout tower, so all night and the following morning many cars drove past us on the forest track that is supposedly closed.
Absolutely quiet, very clean, and with a beautiful view. It takes a little more than an hour to walk to the lake. At the Blue Lagoon, it is as crowded as Mallorca.
