It is pretty but close to the road, with a truck that seems to stay there year-round and a loose dog. It was not reassuring for our cat, so we continued on our way.
Beautiful quiet place; the nearby road is noisy but quiet in the evening. The only sign says it is a dead end; it seems to be a municipal road used by dozens of people. A minor drawback is that some people feel entitled to look into and across the camper when we look at them, possibly taking pictures of it. A connection with the hotel just behind it?!
We spent a peaceful night after a quick swim in the river. In the morning we walked around the pretty village, where you can find a bakery and a small bar for coffee. Bins nearby; please leave the place clean. A few mosquitoes.
Parking is not permitted along this road.
It could have been nice, but the road is still quite close, creating noise and danger for children, cats, and dogs. The trees bordering the road suggest a forest, but it is not one. However, the town is accessible on foot and worth visiting.
Warning! The approach via Chemin de la Serre is fine, but Waze sent us back via Rue des Granges, with three hairpin bends. Do not take this route! It leads to a tiny hamlet where the road narrows; we were almost stuck with a 5.40-meter van. We barely got out and damaged the van! Return via Chemin de la Serre.
Very beautiful spot with the river at our feet. Two motorhomes spent the night too and we had a great time, until the morning when a couple, perhaps English, rudely told us the place was private. We said we would leave, and they photographed our license plate. However, there is no sign indicating private land. Very strange.
Very good spot. Peaceful night with some traffic on the road, but the sound of running water masks it. A few very friendly walkers. Swimming in the river is possible and very pleasant. To access it, take Chemin de la Serre and turn left at the end at the hairpin bend.
