Via Lungo Lago, 38078, San Lorenzo in banale
Been here?
A dirt-road parking area before the bridge leading to a waterfall and the lake. It is useful during the day for lake access, swimming and walks, but several visitors were asked to leave or warned that overnight stays are not allowed. The area is quiet at night but receives pedestrians and cars during the day. It is suitable for medium-sized vehicles, while larger vehicles may have difficulty turning.

We drove on. It is probably fine during the day, but we would not sleep here.
You can park in occasional bays on both sides of the road. Other cars are usually parked there too. Several people pass by during the day; everyone must decide for themselves whether that is bothersome. Various paths lead directly to the lake. But beware! There is a sign at the beginning of the path saying “bear zone” or something similar, so perhaps you need to be a little careful.
Great spot if you’re local, got a note within an hour of being there (afternoon) just for a walk and swim - ‘no camping, please move on’ (local police). Wasn’t doing any camping behaviour, assume it’s my menacing uk reg plate. Too broke to risk a fine, moved on
I looked for a place in the area between Molveno and Andalo, but there was nothing. Either you pay for a camper spot or you get fined if you sleep elsewhere. Thanks, I will go be a tourist somewhere else!
Good for one night. Quiet and hardly any annoying insects. At 8:30 in the morning, the local police made us leave.
Quiet place at night despite a few passing cars. Many walkers during the day.
Perfect for swimming or walking around the lake (11.3 km). We did not sleep there. However, be careful not to go beyond the bridge over the waterfall: it is very steep and narrow and leads to paths prohibited to all vehicles.
Nice place but quite busy with tourists and even cars which rise a lot of dust. At 10.30 a policeman came and told us to leave immediately.
More than a parking area, it is a dirt road where you park on one side and can sleep. It is quiet with little noise. Considering prices in Molveno, it is a great alternative. We had no problem with fines. We arrived at nine in the evening and there were already a couple of vans, which always makes you feel a little more at ease.
Parking suitable for medium-sized vehicles, within walking distance of the lake. We parked at the beginning of the gravel path, as it can sometimes be more difficult to park farther on because of the stored wood.
