Been here?
A spacious, quiet campsite beside Thirlestane Castle, with green areas, clean facilities and a small children’s play area. A pitch with electricity was reported at £32, while service use alone cost £5. WiFi was not working and would not have been included free. Arrivals after reception closes may need to wait until 10:00 the next day.

We arrived five minutes after closing time and therefore had to wait until the next day at 10:00 for reception to reopen so we could pay. The Wi-Fi does not work and would not have been included free of charge anyway.
We stopped only for the services. We received an excellent welcome and the campsite is really very clean! We paid £5.
One star deducted because there is no storage space in the shower cubicles. Otherwise, lovely grassy areas between the gravel pitches, friendly reception, and £32 including electricity.
Great site, quiet, with a small children’s play area. Shower facilities are nice and clean.
Exceptional welcome!!! We came only for the service. This lady is truly kind. Lovely campsite!
Beautiful, quiet, and scenic spot. Very helpful and friendly owners
I am adding this comment about our visit to this campsite in July 2024. We arrived later in the evening and were allowed to choose a pitch from those marked as available at the reception window. We intended to stay one night, but it became two nights. It was very quiet. Even at night, wild rabbits were wandering around—simply wonderful. We would come back.
We stopped here before heading further north. Pitch was slightly sloped bur nothing to worry about and they have a great park for kids. Showers could be better but did the job. Would stay again.
Site was very full when we visited, mostly with units on seasonal pitches. Also showers overflowed into main toilet area due to blocked waste. Indications were that it had been this way for some time. Not a great experience. Positives? It's an easy walk to town.
A superb campsite with very well-defined pitches and very clean facilities. The great thing is that you can arrive at any time and a notice tells you which pitches are available. We were 3 people, 2 adults and 1 child, with a roof tent, and paid £13.
Easy way to fill up tap water and empty Grey water for 5 pounds
