Shaded riverside picnic area, narrow approach

Lovely, calm space with a decent amount of shade. It was very busy with people staying overnight midweek in mid June, so we can imagine it would be full in summer, leaving not much space for the locals to enjoy the picnic area. Only a short section of narrow road to get here if coming from the northern approach.

I slept a couple of nights with my dog and it was very good, a very quiet area with the river in the background, although it is true that many people walk along the road (families, cyclists, etc.). Please do not leave any rubbish; there is no excuse because the area is full of bins.✦Translating

We spent the night there very comfortably. It was very clean and quiet. Quite a lot of people and bicycles walked along the path until late evening and early in the morning. The description says there is room for 5; that night there were 4 motorhomes, 5 medium vans, and 4 small vans like Tourneos, and we were fine. There are many bins. Too bad there is no drinking-water point, otherwise it would be perfect.✦Translating

Beautiful spot with the mountains surrounding you. Lots of campers squeezed into a small space but still space behind to put chairs and a table if the picnic tables are full. Noise from the river at night helps you sleep. No mosquitoes or bugs. Great for one night stay!

Wonderful place. The bins are emptied regularly. Next to the bridge there is a narrow path toward the water, lovely for cooling off. There are many walking and cycling routes in the area. In the village there is a mini-market and a bakery. You can also take the cable car up for €4 per person. Besides the official pitches, there is another small parking area where at least six more campers can stand.✦Translating

Shaded spot beside the river and a quiet road with picnic benches and many hiking trails around. It’s a popular spot, not level and the mobile signal is not good. There are signs saying no swimming in the river and the lake contains zebra mussels so we didn’t swim there. The civil guard passed by in the afternoon but didn’t say anything.
