This is a large, relatively flat, free car park at the Laye ski resort, altitude 1300 m, at the foot of the slopes. It is on national 84, the Napoleon road towards Grenoble, fifteen km from Gap, and offers a quiet overnight stop with nearby walking routes and attractive views. Toilets and rubbish bins are available at the end of the parking area, while a nearby restaurant sells fresh bread and croissants. The resort has a jungle adventure park, and shops are 7 km away in Saint Bonnet.

Very quietly located, with beautiful walks and a restaurant where you can also buy bread. At the end of the parking area there is a toilet and waste bins.
Beautiful view, clean toilets nearby. Fresh bread and croissants at the “Maison de l’Aiguille.”
Perfect for a cool one-night stay, with a large, very flat parking area and many hiking trails starting nearby. A wind descending from the mountains is somewhat bothersome, so we’ll eat indoors tonight…
Ski-lift parking area, paved and lit. We spent a quiet night; no one else was there. There is a waste-disposal facility at the entrance. We did not use the toilets or water, so I cannot say whether they were available. Perfectly fine for one night while passing through. But remember that the site is at 1,300 m. It became quite cold during the night.
Lovely place at the foot of the slopes of this small resort, just a parking area with no services except bins, but with beautiful scenery and hiking trails right nearby.
Fantastic parking area. Plenty of space and complete peace all night! Highly recommended.
