Quiet stopover, twisty approach

Perfect for a quiet night. View of the cemetery, but it is not bothersome. Good shade and paving to prevent mud after storms. Very clean place, with recycling and other bins. Grey-water drainage and water refill. Beautiful view of the lake three minutes away on foot. A monstrous mosquito attack spoils this otherwise ideal place.

The pitch is mediocre, overlooking a cemetery. Flat, a little network coverage, easy access and some shade. But the view from the sanctuary is sublime in any weather, with a shaded picnic area and a nearby restaurant with a panoramic terrace. The parking area directly in front of the sanctuary offers no better view. The access road is very winding and sometimes narrow, requiring manoeuvres to pass one another.

Narrow road, but passable with a 5-metre van. Very quiet, with a magnificent sunrise view near the church a little farther on.

Extremely difficult to reach because of the winding, narrow road. I have a van and managed to get there. The area was occupied by cars because picnics and barbecues are possible around the parking area. The sanctuary is beautiful. The motorhome area, not so much.

All services are working perfectly. The water had no unpleasant smell; it was used only for rinsing. Nearby is Agriturismo Il Barchetto, in a spectacular location, where you can enjoy local products and excellent cuisine. Wine Bar 71 and Bar Circolo ARCI dei Lavoratori di Boleto are also recommended. We will definitely return.

We had a very good experience. We came up via the hairpin bends and went down, preferably, via Artò. In the narrowest part of Artò village, we passed with the mirrors folded in and a passenger helping on the road. Our low-profile motorhome is 7 m long, 2.35 m wide and 3 m high. The only drawback is the steep entrance to the motorhome area; we scraped the levelling legs. There were many other marks left by motorhomes.

Nice, level place to spend the night. Only a five-minute walk to the viewing platform. We spent a quiet and relaxing night here. Four other campers were here with us that night.

Small, completely free motorhome area, perfect for independent overnight stays. There is a drinking fountain, but at weekends the spaces reserved for motorhomes are occupied by visitors' cars. The sanctuary is about 150 metres away. Next to the area is also a beautiful equipped picnic area with several tables and barbecues.

Very good site, flat and clean, with a park, bar, tables, water, toilets, etc. And a very beautiful viewpoint. The best.

Beautiful place! The road there is indeed somewhat winding and narrow, but manageable. We would have liked to stay longer, but because of the orange weather warning in this area, we decided to leave.

Wonderful place. Flat area with water and waste disposal. From there, a small path marked Valpiana begins, leading to a magnificent 6 km hike to the Borgosesia side. The signs direct campers through Artò, but the village passage is extremely narrow; it is better to follow the signs for Boleto. There are tight but manageable hairpin bends for a 7-metre motorhome. The sanctuary viewpoint is spectacular.

Very good area for spending one or several nights. Very flat, with a fountain and bins. The road is somewhat narrow and very winding. The monastery, offering beautiful views of the lake, is one minute away on foot. There is a picnic and barbecue area.

Excellent place to sleep, with water and waste disposal. We have a 6.5-metre motorhome; if you pass through the centre of the village, you should not have a very large motorhome because there is a somewhat narrow passage between the houses.

Magnificent view of Lake Orta a few metres from the area. However, the area is difficult to access: fine for vans, not for motorhomes. Quiet.

Very peaceful, with a water fountain and fairly level ground. Trees provide good shade in the morning. A little farther on is the highly recommended sanctuary, with toilets and a kiosk where you can have a drink.

Superb, very quiet site. The climb on a very narrow road with extremely tight hairpin bends is prohibited for vehicles over 6.5 metres.

Quiet, very pleasant place with a panoramic view of the lake near Basilic. You can have a small coffee for breakfast, and hiking trails start here.
