Free daytime parking near the lock, about 5 minutes from the town centre, with no services. Parking is authorized from 09:00 to 23:00 throughout the year; overnight stays are prohibited and may result in a fine sent home. Public toilets nearby were not functioning, and there are no apparent height restrictions.

Very nice daytime parking area; however, staying overnight is forbidden from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., and throughout the municipality, under penalty of a fine. There are public toilets next to the small garden/playground, but they were not working when we visited. Only a urinal was available.
Brilliant place to park for free to visit the town, no stupid height restrictions, asked a shipworker and he said fine to park here, I was here 5 hours no problem, but apparently don't be tempted to stay the night, 5 minutes south is a large French supermarket who allow you to stay in their car park for 48hrs free, I shopped in there they have everything.
Well suited for visiting the market on Tuesdays.
Parking is indeed free. I asked the shipyard staff and they said there was no problem because it is a public parking area. Ideal for going to the market, just five minutes from the town centre.
Free and close to the town centre. Very good for a few hours. Buy bulk salt at the cooperative right next door at a very reasonable price.
