A large gondola car park with a flat section, used for summer activities and reported as available outside the ski season. A recent visit found it authorised out of season, with sunshine until 20h and recycling containers 1 minute away on foot. Overnight parking is prohibited from 20h to 8h during the ski season. The car park is far from Châtel centre, and the ground is partly sloped.

Authorized pitch outside the season. Partly level, and we were the only ones in the parking area. Sunshine until 8 p.m. Recycling containers just above, one minute on foot.Translating
Apparently it is tolerated. But it is very far from the center of Châtel.Translating
Unfortunately, it is not possible to spend the night there, at least during the ski season. A sign prohibits it from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. When we explained that we had come to ski, we were still asked to leave. There is a parking area farther up, near the Pré-la-Joux chairlift, where overnight stays are allowed and where we had a very good night.Translating
