Arapil Grande is a wild spot with a beautiful view over the historic battle site, but reaching the top requires a 4x4. The track is very uneven and rocky, so arriving in daylight is advisable. There are no services. About a hundred meters away, a flat rest area for all vehicles has picnic tables and is very quiet at night.

A 4x4 is a MUST! I arrived here at night with my T4, and the track was extremely uneven, with lots of rocks and so on. Once at the top it was beautiful, but getting there made me sweat, and there was no way back until reaching the top. So either approach in daylight or prepare for a proper roller-coaster ride. The view and peace are beautiful, though.
Good for a van, although the road is badly damaged. Beautiful view.
