Rua Longa 49, 7750-147, Mina de São Domingos
Been here?
A paying motorhome area beside the former Mina de São Domingos mining village, with a quiet and safe setting near the lake beach. The fee is 7€ per night and includes electricity, water, grey-water drainage and other essential services. The pitches have no shade and are somewhat untidy or poorly marked, with overgrown grass reported. The lake beach is 200 m away, and the village, restaurants and mining ruins are within easy reach.

Nice spot to spend the night with other campers in a safety environment but no shadow, places are a little bit messy. 7€ a night, you have light in the night and a place to drain and clean grey waters
Excellent location next to Tapada Grande beach, which is spectacular for families with children. The area itself needs maintenance. The parking spaces are poorly marked and it is quite confusing. Weeds grow abundantly, which is a shame. The services work: water, waste disposal, and electricity are available. Overall, it is a good place; it would be nice if maintenance were not neglected.Translating
It is absolutely true that this is a beautiful spot, but it is a shame that there is no maintenance. If the municipality does nothing, it will be a disaster in a short time... and the bins should be emptied.Translating
5 stars! It has everything needed for an excellent stay right next to one of Portugal's best river beaches! Congratulations to the municipality! Thank you very much.Translating
Very good area, very spacious, with electricity, well-marked pitches, and easy payment by credit card only. Right next to a beautiful river beach.Translating
Beautiful area. Very quiet night.Translating
A spectacular area, very peaceful, equipped with everything necessary, including electricity, for €7. It is a five-minute walk from the river beach and next to the village, which has shops and bars. Beside the mine, which can be visited on foot—a very interesting plan for children.Translating
Close to the town and the lake, everything is well thought out, the spaces are large, and payment at the exit is very easy. €7 including electricity, waste disposal, and water.Translating
Large, well-maintained and clean gravel-and-grass area. At this time of year there are many spaces available, so we had plenty of choice. Everything works: electrical hookups, disposal points, and filling points. The only drawback is no shade on the site (ouch in summer), but shaded benches and tables are available.Translating
Very good service area, quiet, but I think it is very expensive compared with others that have showers and a bathroom. There is also little maintenance, with very tall weeds and full rubbish bins. Poor lighting. Overall, that is why I cannot give it more stars.Translating
7/04/2026. Area with all services. Shame that the pitches are very poorly maintained, with rocky, muddy ground. A shame because the site and the village are pleasant. Optimal 4G.Translating
Perfect nights sleep. Over grown flowers but not bad. Didn’t bother us. All services you need. Free electric gate easy to use get a ticket coming in to get out go to brown area pay then scan your ticket at blue box and get out :) lovely mining ruins nearby and beach little shop and post office and public toilets 4 min walk
Excellent site with all facilities. River beach and restaurant nearby, and the village is well worth visiting. New payment system, much more practical. Like supermarket car parks: stop in front of the barrier and take a ticket. Before leaving, go to the payment machine, then simply exit through the barrier.Translating
Unfortunately, there are no markings for parking. Explanation: Two pillars with a water channel between them separate the pitches on the right and left. The lane is in the middle, identifiable by one pillar on each side. The lane is also somewhat narrower than the parking strips. New markings would still be good, as would more maintenance. Otherwise: great, quiet place with electricity and supply and disposal facilities.Translating
Very practical motorhome area, accessible to large vehicles, with all services. Small shop in the village.Translating
Basically a fine place, but the layout is somewhat strange. In the first photo you can still see white lines marking the parking spaces. The lines have disappeared, so it is unclear how to park. The posts have vertical green stripes; you should park between them. Facilities are okay. The village is not much, but do take a walk to the remains of the mine.Translating
The site is good but poorly utilized; it could have better conditions, since space is not the problem. There is a lack of maintenance. It is very quiet at night. The village has nearby restaurants, and they are very good. Thank you.Translating
Very peaceful location near the river beach, large spaces, with all services working well. Payment is made by card at a machine at the exit, which is very simple to use.Translating
