This is a small, shaded grassy beach on the Douro, with a friendly bar and a peaceful setting. A recent visit found it quiet and empty on a Monday, while the bar accepts no CB. Access is very narrow and suitable only for vans or small motorhomes.

A little spot just the way we like them... Far from everything, peaceful beside the Douro, cool, with a small bar run by welcoming people who speak French (no card payments). We will see whether it stays quiet for the rest of the week... We were there on a Monday and were alone. Apparently quite popular on weekends. Swimming, views, showers, toilets, swings... a little paradise!
The location is great and very pretty. Unfortunately for us we were looking for a quiet and relaxing place, but the music was too loud - they only play dance music. We arrived around 1600 and left at 1900 after realising the music would go until midnight. Today the toilets were flooded, but there is water available.
Excellent spot!!! Safe and the road to get there is beautiful! Shade, water, shower, swimming—it is perfect!

We arrived in this bucolic setting combining peace and quiet, swimming, recreational fishing, and a bar run by very friendly young people who make you feel welcome and are very helpful. This place is worth the detour and will undoubtedly leave you with a memorable experience and deep peace. I rank it as the bestseller of our three-week road trip. Thank you all. Benoit and Orianne
The people at the bar gave us a wonderful welcome and took great care of us. I highly recommend it. Only suitable for vans; access is not easy, but it is worth it.
An absolute gem of a place. We had the entire area to ourselves. Truly beautiful & peaceful. Yes, the road down is narrow & steep, but thankfully tarmac almost all of the way. There are toilets/water tap/outdoor cold shower & waste bins & a kiosk, but facilities not yet open. Plenty of tables for eating at. River looks calm enough for a swim/ SUP. Thank you municipality for such a lovely spot.
Very beautiful, peaceful place. We spent the afternoon there resting, swimming, and paddleboarding. However, descending was nerve-racking: the road is very narrow. We have an XL Jumpy; fortunately, we did not meet anyone while going down and came back up in the evening so we were alone on the road. The toilets are closed and the shower is turned off, but there is water at the tap.
