Lake paddock stop, undrinkable water

We had two wonderful days at the site. Quiet during the day and very close to the lake. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Dogs are welcome. Thank you very much; we will definitely come again.

The site was okay for one night. The owner was friendly and came to collect the fee early the next morning. The toilet in the riding club was clean and about 200 meters from the site. I would not drink the supposedly potable water; it comes from a well and is completely yellow-green!!!

Everything we needed was available. Electricity is charged according to consumption. Friendly welcome! If you are lucky, you stay in a separate piece of meadow among the horses. If you like peace and nature, this is the place. The toilet is in the riding-school cafeteria and requires a short walk along a quiet road. On many campsites you have to walk farther. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful, peaceful place. You stay on grass beside a lake, so people swim here in good weather. Friendly owner. Electricity and water are available. The city of Paderborn is nearby and easy to reach by bike. You can make beautiful bike trips here. We think the price is fine.

It is quite strange that the site is given five stars. It is nice there, that is true, and I fully support that. But €18? I find that more than excessive. The operators are very nice, you stand on a horse meadow, and electricity, water, and a toilet are available if you are willing to walk 300 meters along the road at night. No disposal facilities. Conclusion: it is doable, but personally I find it too expensive.

I can highly recommend this site! We felt at home with Reinard, Renata, and Andreas from the very first moment! What makes this site special is that everyone is super friendly, there is a family atmosphere, and everything is simply uncomplicated. The toilet is always available and drinks are also offered. We did not miss showers or any other frills!

A fantastic site by the lake. The very friendly operators become friends. I really cannot understand anyone who does not feel welcome and comfortable here. We will definitely come more often. Everything is stress-free. They are very animal-friendly and always helpful. Electricity is available on site. Thanks to the operators for the wonderful weekend.

A bull’s-eye. Simple site in peaceful and beautiful surroundings with pleasant and hospitable owners. Nice to have a beer with the owners and their friends/neighbors in the small bar. On the edge of town. One comment: €18 is too much without a shower, but a cheap drink makes it okay again. Maybe see you on our way back.
