Carretera Huesca a Francia, 22663, Sallent de Gállego
Been here?
A spacious, relatively level wild parking area surrounded by rocky scenery and forest, with mountain views and several possible spaces. It is close to the main road, so traffic can be heard, and a strong hum from a nearby building has also disturbed recent visitors. Access is easy from the road but the road surface is in very poor condition. There are no services, although mobile phone reception is good.

Good spot. We were disappointed when we arrived, though. The place is quite different from the photos. It looks close to the lake, but that was disappointing. It is also near the main road, which can be heard. Otherwise, it is quiet and level.
A fairly quiet place surrounded by rocky peaks, despite the road, and relatively flat. Very good phone reception. Several pitches. The Guardia Civil visited us at 8 a.m. and explained that there was no problem staying overnight as long as we left nothing around the vehicle (no awning, table, chairs, etc.). If the rule is not respected: €200 fine.
We spent the night here; it is perfect if you are visiting the Piedrafita area, as it is 10 minutes from the paid parking area. You can hear cars passing on the road a little, but they are far away. There were four other motorhomes and enough space so we were not close together. We accidentally left our rubbish outside and a fox visited us at night, so do not leave anything outside.
We only stayed here for a short while in the afternoon as there were too many flies, and we could hear the humming noise other reviews had mentioned. When leaving, we then made the mistake of driving further north east along the lane to check the other place listed on p4n, because that part of the road was very poor.
Beautiful views and a large open area. Road in very poor condition, beware! No services, easy access from the road.
The area is great, spacious, close to the road but private. Spectacular views. I stayed in August and, although there was little shade, I thought the place was great, so I decided to return now. The experience was much worse this time: noise can be heard from the nearby building (I do not know whether it is a treatment plant or something else). Very loud and annoying noise. I will look for another place in the area next time.
Overnight on 29/8. Actually a nice place but there is a strong hum coming from the building a little further away 24 hours a day. We were too tired to look for anything else but three different campers came and left after us.
When we arrived at the previous spot, it was full of waste and rubbish, so we moved on to the next one. Two vans arrived and made a lot of noise until late. Finally, near where we parked there were remains of a campfire, but we paid no attention until one of my dogs showed symptoms of having consumed narcotics after a while. Please be more respectful…
Quiet. There were more fires and caravans. There is plenty of space. We continued a little farther and had a very good night.
Very quiet place with many parking spots, away from the road and with good views, without any services.
A very quiet place to spend the night. Very level. Two or three shaded spots during the day. The Guardia Civil passes from time to time, and if they see you with tables or chairs outside, they remind you that camping is not allowed and that everything must remain inside, but they cause no further problems.
We spent one night and were very comfortable. Good mountain views.
Quite good for sleeping. Be careful because it is a minefield of cow dung from all the cows grazing there. For those of us with pop-up roofs, the transformer can be a little annoying!
The spot looks nice even though it is close to the road, but beware! Unusable today. The cows have come down from the mountain and the herd has settled right on the spot. Look elsewhere.
Perfect for spending the night; we were alone. Very spacious and quiet place—some cars from the road can be heard, but nothing significant. Highly recommended.
