25 Carretera Mercado -C. Riberas Lea, 27260, Castro de Rey
Been here?
Free, level motorhome area near the village, with water and waste services and generally quiet overnight parking. Electricity has been reported as working intermittently, so its availability is unreliable. Shops, cafés, restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy are nearby, and a Wednesday market serves octopus.

The electricity does not work. I do not understand whether the free areas here have power or not. The place does not seem spectacular to me, but I cannot tell you more.
I was there on a Wednesday and enjoyed the market and the octopus. Quiet area for spending the night, with electricity.
Stayed here overnight on 29/05/26. All services working including electricity. Very quiet at night despite being close to the Main Street. Thank you to the community of Castro de Ribeiras de Lea for providing this service. Long live Spain.
Hello, I stayed for one day. The area is quiet and has all services. The electricity does not work, as of April 30, 2026.
Many thanks for the area, very close to the town, which has everything. We spent a very quiet and solitary night. I do not know whether the electricity works because we did not plug in, but everything else was perfect. Canarios en ruta.
Be careful, the electrical outlets do not work; there is no power. Otherwise, the area is very flat, everything else is fine, and it is close to bars, cafés, and restaurants. Restaurante Suso was quite good and offered good value for money. There is a Froiz supermarket and a pharmacy—everything you need to restock and enjoy a quiet walk through the village.
I love this area. Five of the six electrical outlets work perfectly, there are three water taps, one with a hose, and a dumping area for four caravans at once. There is a green area and a couple of modern-looking buildings that seem to be abandoned. Crossing the area brings you to the main avenue, with everything you might need: pharmacies, a Froiz supermarket, bakeries, bars, and a workshop.
Everything is working correctly now. Quiet area and village with all services. Every Wednesday there is a market where you can taste the famous Galician-style octopus.
None of the electrical outlets work anymore.
There is an electrical hookup, but at least today it was not working.
A very good parking area with all services, including free electricity. Bravo to the town council; I recommend it. Thanks to the town council and the village.
Very good parking area with all services and even electricity. A pleasant walk can be taken around it. We met some very friendly people, including a lady who gave us roses. I recommend it.
Ok for one night free electric but noisy from motorbikes at the cafe around the corner. Flat level area.
We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and were alone. We spent the night alone. It is a spacious place, shops are a five-minute walk away, and the services work well. For a small village, many thanks to the town council.
Great! Quiet, safe, and all services work. Highly recommended. Many thanks to the local council!
Excellent area. We arrived today, Wednesday, and there is a market with delicious octopus. The surroundings are not very attractive, but thanks to the town council. We did not stay overnight.
Area located between a livestock market, secondary school, and health center. This makes it very noisy for sleeping or staying. Good for filling water, with a separate hose and tap. Good pressure, but gray-water disposal is very awkward through the drain. Worst of all, the council workers switch off the electricity whenever they feel like it, without reason, and this damaged our motorhome's 220V charger.
Great level parking, all free facilities including EHU, enough to charge the batteries up. Great bar nearby and also in the town. Supermarket, and a bakery as well as a green grocery so take a wonder and stock up. Thank you for such great facilities.
