Hilltop viewpoint, overnight prohibited

Slept well, calm and peaceful.

Very beautiful spot with an impressive view of the lake. We camped here off-season and had no problems. The spot is beside the road, so there is some traffic.

Incredible view of the lake…

The place is beautiful but bivouacking of any kind is prohibited.

Unbelievably beautiful view. The place is right beside a road. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes there.

It is directly next to the road. no bins or toilets but the view is amazing. there are also one or two other similar sports along the road should also be enough space for two maybe three big campervans.

We spent two quiet nights at this spot; there is little traffic. It is probably less quiet in the height of summer. But the view of the lake is magnificent!!

The only positive point is that the view is incredible. We relied on comments saying there was little traffic… Big mistake!!! Since 5:30 a.m., cars and trucks have been passing continuously and waking us up, even though we are here in the low season (April). We are really right beside the main road.

Where is this a spot in nature?! It is a parking bay DIRECTLY beside the road. Before it, there is a sign in four languages saying “wild camping prohibited.” Nice view, otherwise nothing.

Extraordinary view, well worth it! Breathtaking when waking up. We spent the night here without any problems. The only minor drawback is that it is fairly close to the road, but there was no traffic during the night. And to the people who leave dirty toilet paper in the bushes: you are disgusting. Please take care of our beautiful nature.

Great view! Little traffic on the road at night. A small path to the lake is right next to it.

Beautiful place with access to the lake, which is also magnificent. We stayed for two nights but wanted to stay for four. Park rangers came to inform us that camping is prohibited throughout the regional park, so we had to leave; there is a risk of a €135 fine.

Place with a beautiful view. Cars pass by in the evening and early morning, but that did not bother us.

We spent a pleasant night with a great view of the lake. The only minor negative is that cars pass until 10:30 p.m. and traffic resumes around 5 a.m.

One night on June 29. There were two vans. Beside the road, but little traffic at night. No restrictions on parking overnight. View of the lake and the village of Sainte-Croix. A small path leads down to the lake.

Magnificent view of the lake, 20 minutes from the Verdon Gorge. It is indeed beside the road on a bend, but there is little traffic at night.

Spent a quiet night with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains.

Very quiet at night (May 8). A lovely view of the lake. There is room for 4 or 5 vehicles. Around 8 p.m., park rangers from the Verdon came by to remind us that fires are prohibited and that no rubbish should be left behind. Our neighbours had put out their table and chairs. This did not cause a problem for the rangers.

Location beside the road but with little traffic in the low season. The scenery in the morning and evening is incredible. We were three vehicles with no problems. I recommend it.

Parking beside the road, but with a beautiful view of the lake and a very quiet night. (Early April) Trailheads nearby. One of the most beautiful spots on the lake if you like beautiful landscapes at sunrise!

Quiet place despite being beside the road.

Very nice viewpoint and pleasant but steep walks in the surrounding area. Very close to the road, but we stopped for lunch with the beautiful view! Fantastic!
