Unnamed Road, 3946, Oberems
Been here?
Remote gravel parking area at the top of the Turtmann valley, reached via a narrow, winding mountain road with hairpin bends and a height restriction — manageable for larger vans with care. Marked spots for campers, no bins, toilets or other infrastructure, so come self-sufficient and pack out rubbish. Payment is by electronic parking meter, roughly 5-8 CHF per night. Very quiet at night due to its remote location, with stunning views and a great starting point for hikes to Turtmannsee and the Barrhorn.

Wonderful pitch! The approach is adventurous, but manageable without problems with a 7-metre motorhome. Observe the height restriction. Very inexpensive for such a pitch, with an incredible view. No infrastructure. Please take your rubbish with you and do not defecate in nature.Translating
Very narrow road, only for small Vans and good drivers recommended. Fantastic place in nature, perfect to sleep.
The approach is via narrow hairpin bends, which should not be underestimated. The pitch is beautifully located, and parking via the app works without problems. Be sure to explore the area too; it is worthwhile!Translating

Superb place to spend a quiet night in the mountains. Very well-arranged parking area, with a space for campers. There are no rubbish bins or toilets, but at 8 francs per 24 hours, you make do cleanly and responsibly. Perfect place to hike the Barrhorn (1,900 m; 9–10 hours in hiking mode). Respect the area; it is paradise for those who love wilderness.Translating
If you are travelling self-sufficiently, this place is ideal; apart from the electric parking meter, there is no infrastructure. There are even parking spaces marked for campers. The place is very remote, with a narrow and winding approach from Turtmann (about 20 km), so it is very quiet at night. The few francs charged by the meter are worth it.Translating
8CHF per night for a spot in a beautiful valley and at the start of beautiful hikes. We paid two nights, spent one night up at the hut and one night at the lot. Quiet on a Sunday/Monday in September. Specific spots for campers.
Great spot in the middle of the mountains. Quiet. Friendly. The only thing missing is a waste-disposal point.Translating
Very good starting point for hikes to Turtmann Lake and elsewhere. No toilet, and everything is fenced off!Translating
We only paid 5 CHF for a 15 hour overnight Amazing value for such an amazing site. Breakfast up at the reservoir under a glacier. Quiet night, totally immersed in nature. Keep persevering with the drive up, you will make it
