Been here?
Russenes is a free motorhome area beside the water, with beautiful fjord views and marked spaces. Fresh water and blackwater disposal are available, but recent information says there is no greywater drain; toilets may become dirty during bus stops. Shelters with fireplaces, picnic benches, and a walking or dog-walking path are provided. The lower spaces offer room for tables, while the upper spaces are short and narrow, and the area can fill in the evening.

Fresh-water filling and black-water dumping only. Clean toilets. The upper parking area has short and narrow spaces. The lower one has double spaces where you can set out a table and chairs, but there are few spaces. Picnic tables facing the fjord, with a magnificent view.
Thank you very much for providing a free service area with all facilities. I recommend it; magnificent setting.
Everything is great, except unfortunately a small car is parked in one of the pitches :-(. And to top it off, the two people have also put their tent in one of the wooden shelters, which a cyclist might have needed shortly afterward. That is cheeky.
Great place with a superb view and free disposal facilities. Unfortunately, the toilets are not clean because many North Cape bus tours stop there for a pee break.
Absolutely top-notch facilities and very well maintained. It feels overrun by Germans.
absolutely recommend. nice view, good bathrooms and tables with benches and shelter.
Nice clean parking area. Toilets, cassette-cleaning machine, and drinking water behind the building. Everything is functional.
Cassette disposal is possible in two different ways: CamperClean and the traditional method.
Drinking water available, automatic toilet dump, clean and warm toilets. No gray-water dump. Plenty of spaces for motorhomes with a beautiful view and picnic areas sheltered from the wind. Thank you.
We only used the service area, but everything was spotless and very well maintained. Fresh water, waste disposal and toilets were all clean and easy to use. A great place to stop for camper services.
Despite the nearby road and extremely strong wind, the night was quiet. In the morning you can watch the sunrise over the fjord. It can be crowded in the evening, however. The toilets were clean and regularly maintained.
Nice place for filling and dumping. Unfortunately, the motorhome spaces are occupied by cars even though many car spaces above are empty.
Perfect, this is how it should be.
Very beautiful place on the road to the North Cape, peaceful. Possibility of a flat walk along the water. Beware: the six spaces below filled up quickly (4:30 p.m.). Automatic black-water dumping appreciated; forget about gray water. Five reindeer were nearby.
Perfect for our lunch break. We were able to dump the black water and fill up with fresh water. Gray-water disposal is more complicated. The area is very pleasant beside the water, with brand-new benches.
Exceptionally well-kept and beautiful place for an overnight stay, with camper services except for gray-water dumping: toilet disposal and fresh-water filling are free, and the toilets are heated with hot water, clean and modern. Thank you!!!
More appearance than substance. Stylish with a great view, but completely overcrowded and dirty. We took a break and drove on.
Extremely nice place.
Beautiful parking area with covered seating, clean toilets with sinks. It is regularly checked that nobody parks in the “no parking” areas; offenders are sent to the upper section. Arrive early. Windy but no mosquitoes.
We were only here to fill up with fresh water. You need to bring an adapter and hose. It would have been more pleasant if the gray-water cover had been closed, and unfortunately the motorhome in front of us emptied its toilet there!! Gray water is not black water!!
Service area used for a midday stop. Gray-water dumping is done into a basin, which is laborious. The automatic cassette system is excellent.
Simply beautifull place. The "no parking" zones between the campers could be made more visible from the hill where the toilets are. The free toilet cleaning machine is Top! Toilets smell but its all about the function isn't it?? And they work as intended! You have to come early to get a nice spot down at the waterfront. Magnificent views. Can be very windy.
Service area where all services are free and, in addition, perfectly maintained.
The pitch is generally very beautiful and quiet. Unfortunately, tour buses on their way to the North Cape constantly make short photo stops here during the day. Accordingly, the toilets look and smell awful.
The place itself is great and has everything, but it is completely overcrowded, with inconsiderate campers who “park everything tightly”... We drove north to a nice parking area a few kilometres farther on.
Very busy place; we counted more than 20 campers. Many large ones even occupy three spaces. Social parking, even while observing the 4-metre rule, seems difficult. There is not even respect for disabled parking spaces. The facilities, insofar as they are available, are excellent. Despite the very strong wind, we had an otherwise quiet night.
Fine place for an overnight stay. From the road you think there is plenty of space, but only six campers are allowed below. One space must be left between each camper for safety. These spaces are marked “no parking.” You can dump everything and fill with fresh water here. Wastewater must be manually carried away in your own container. There is no dump drain.
Dreamlike! The toilets smell somewhat unpleasant, but with everything on offer that hardly matters. Simply a wonderful place. Behave well so that we can all enjoy it for a long time.
The cassette-cleaning machine is extremely dirty, unusable if you want to keep your cassette clean on the outside! What a shame... The site is still just as good, but it fills up very quickly in the afternoon.
A great place with a wonderful view of the water. There is fresh water, wastewater disposal, toilet disposal, and toilets. Thank you very much.
Great spot with a view. Toilets clean . Dump grey and black waste and get fresh water. Good place to start exercise dogs.
Very nice place for a stop or overnight stay. Exactly as described. Beautiful view, and free too. Wow.
Visit at the end of April. Great free motorhome pitch with a view of the sea. The toilets were still closed then and the spaces slightly sloped, but it is still recommended.
Free camper area; it says eight spaces, but many more campers could fit if desired. Toilets available, fresh-water filling available, and drinking water available. Black-water dumping available.
Very nice place for one night with a view of the fjord. Large waterfall near the tunnel. Walk along the mountain. But some spots are occupied for several days. Please leave some for others.
We spent two nights here, before and after the North Cape. Magnificent area with all services. I recommend it.
Beautiful campsite. However, it was already very busy in mid-May. Motorhomes had already parked between the designated spaces. In high season it may be completely overcrowded.
What a super place! on our way down from Nordkapp, we had a very quiet night overlooking the fjord. There are clean toilets, drinking water but the toilet waste cleaning is locked.
Very beautiful and free campsite! Well laid out, excellent toilets, and facilities for filling and emptying tanks. There are 6 spaces by the water, and more campers can fit above, although leveling blocks are essential there.
Very nice campsite, clean and tidy.
New campsite directly on the fjord, 50 meters beside the road.
New area for 6 motorhomes on the way to the North Cape. Magnificent. Toilets available. Cassette emptying point. No water at the moment.
Passing through, very pleasant, and very rare… very new and very clean, but no water supply. It is a shame; that would have made it perfect.
Passing through on April 30, we were able to empty the cassette. There is water to rinse it. But there is no drinking water.
Beautiful place to spend the night. Unfortunately, the facilities are closed in winter. The location has been cleared of snow. We were there with 3 campers and there was still plenty of room. The 2 enclosed picnic tables are pleasant, though it is cold. It will probably be very busy here in summer.
The site has not been cleared and cannot be accessed.
