Been here?
This free official municipal parking area lies directly beside the cycle path, within walking distance of the center, and offers views of the Grimming mountain. It is generally quiet at night, although it can become full, with around 8 campers making the area feel crowded. Toilets and showers at the neighboring sports or tennis center can be used free of charge. Fresh drinking water fountains, bins and nearby sports facilities are also available.

It is wonderful and fantastic, with free toilets and showers from the tennis hall and nice people.Translating
Spots like these are rare in Austria. It can get busy here, but it is quiet at night. Thank you.Translating
A great official municipal campsite. The toilets and showers of the adjacent tennis center may still be used free of charge. It is worth arriving early!Translating
We spent a very good night here, very peacefully in this parking area. There are fountains with fresh water for filling the motorhome. There are also fitness trails, a football and basketball court, and a beach-volleyball court. I recommend it!Translating
lovely spot, with park next door and a great walking trail. thank you municipal
We stayed here for two nights. There is a toilet in the sports center. The town center and other shopping facilities are also easily reachable on foot. Everything worked for us. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
It is great that municipalities provide places like this—thank you! Unfortunately, it was already full in the evening, even during the week and outside the holiday season, so we ended up spending the night in the parking lot around the corner. It is not far from railway tracks, but it was reasonably quiet at night. Good location for bike tours and various shopping options nearby.Translating
Nice place for one night, water and a rubbish bin available, otherwise no facilities.Translating
Great for one night. In the end there were eight motorhomes and it became a little cozy, but it was fine for sleeping and the night was very quiet!Translating
Great that the municipality provides places like this.Translating
Quiet and well-maintained camper stop for one night.Translating
We spent a very quiet night here on the way to Croatia. Very level parking spot, with nice walking opportunities for the dog. Thanks to the municipality for the free spot.Translating
Beautiful free municipal parking area, thank you! Very quiet, level space for three motorhomes. We did not use the toilet or shower.Translating
Excellent place. Slept very peacefully and included a small town visit. Note for those who constantly complain that there is no electricity or infrastructure: it is a free overnight parking place. Anyone who cannot manage even one night without electricity should think about their vehicle equipment. I have never needed shore power and we travel without gas.Translating
No services, although there is a socket behind the building that works if needed, but it is not intended for motorhomes. Quiet place with an unobstructed view of the mountains, right next to a cycle path and walking routes. Close to the town center.Translating
Beautiful parking area. It gets full in the evening.Translating
Unfortunately, drinking water is currently unavailable here. Wastewater disposal is also not possible.Translating
We arrived and it was full; there was also a motorhome parked badly and occupying two spaces. There is little enough room without taking spaces from others. The place looked very nice, with a large, new adventure park next door and the village a 15-minute walk away.Translating
Really great, very quiet. Waste disposal at the sports center next door. Water station on site. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
We were lucky and got the last free space at 7 p.m. Later another motorhome arrived and parked closer to the playground. The direct neighbor said that many more vehicles have stood here before. It is very quiet in the evening, with only a walking path nearby. I liked it for one night.Translating
Too bad—four spaces fighting for room, and it is full.Translating
An authorized overnight parking area without services, naturally very popular because this country makes traveling in motorhomes so difficult. We arrived around 7 p.m. and there were at least ten motorhomes and campervans; we looked for a spot just to sleep. However, some people take out their chairs, tables, barbecues, etc. and behave as if they were in a campsite. Incredible.
This is a very nice free place for a few self contained campers. (3-4) There is a drink water fountain and a portable toilet and a beautiful playground nearby! At midnight there was a group of youngsters in a car and a few on motorcycles who chatted and ran their engines loud around the campers for about half an hour.
Well, four motorhomes do fit on the gravel area at the entrance to the sports hall. No more than that. It is an overnight place for self-contained vehicles. It should not be embellished beyond that. No toilets, showers, or similar facilities. The buildings mentioned have been closed and abandoned for some time. Status 08/2025.
Very quiet and clean motorhome and van stop, equipped with a fountain and rubbish bin; highly recommended. We stopped with our van for lunch and to refill water.
Nice parking area for the off-season. Thanks to the municipality for this free place. If more than three motorhomes are here, it becomes cozy. We therefore quickly moved on to the peace and nature a few kilometers farther away. These places are even listed on Park4Night.
When we arrived at 2 a.m., the small gravel parking lot was already occupied by four or five campervans. We simply parked beside it in front of the hall. Nobody minded. The view of the mountains in the morning was especially great, as was the climbing course next door and the opportunity to do a little exercise. Thanks for the drinking water!
We arrived yesterday evening, but unfortunately all spaces were already occupied. We parked overnight in a larger parking lot above. You can get drinking water here.
There are actually three, or at most four, spaces if parked tightly. If it is full, it is better to keep driving; the police pass by several times a day. The drinking-water point is intended for hikers, not for filling your tank.
Many thanks to the city of Liezen for providing the free parking spaces. Room for six to seven vehicles. Located beside a popular hiking and cycling route, which is not disruptive. Two benches and one table, similar to those at a motorway rest area, are available for breakfast or relaxing together.
Beautiful free parking area with drinking water. However, it is very popular and therefore fills up quickly. Public toilets are a few minutes' walk away.
Nice Stellplatz, clean toilets, 25€ per night.
Free, beautiful view of the mountains.
