A well-maintained campsite with grassy pitches, wooded surroundings and a peaceful setting, including spaces for passing travellers. It has a heated common room with cooking facilities, 2 showers and 2 toilets, plus a washer and dryer. Recent reports describe clean, heated facilities and free hot showers, although one comment noted a bad smell in the bathroom. The fee was reported as 1900 ISK per person + 440 ISK per vehicle, collected in the evening.

Ordinary campsite. There is no hairdryer, microwave or toaster. The pitches are not marked out; one person can occupy three spaces with a small car and use three electrical outlets. The bathroom smelled bad. I do not understand the five-star reviews; I suppose they have never stayed at a proper campsite. There is no reception: you arrive, park, and they charge your card the next morning.
Beautiful, quiet campsite. They collect payment in the evening or morning. There is plenty of space in the communal kitchen. I can only partly confirm the reports of many flies, as we were there at the end of September.
The view is superb and it is peaceful. The common room and sanitary facilities are heated. It may be a little small considering the number of people, but it was very good!
Campsite in the middle of forests. Small but pleasant. Well-maintained communal areas.
Very pleasant setting. Clean. Friendly welcome.
Access via a gravel road. Well-equipped communal kitchen with a kettle, stovetops and shared utensils. All facilities—two showers and two toilets—were unisex. There was a washing machine and dryer. Beautiful surroundings. They come to collect payment in the late afternoon or evening: 1,900 ISK per person plus 440 ISK per vehicle.
I really liked this place. Nice free showers, well kept toilets, a washer and a dryer. It was very peaceful.
Well-located campsite for rooftop tents because it is in a hollow surrounded by trees. Senior rate: 1,700 ISK without electricity. It is better to arrive early because it gets busy.
We highly recommend this campsite, the best we have found so far in Iceland. The owner keeps everything spotless and clean. She helped us with a problem we had at the campsite opposite. Truly recommended!
Great Camping, very and I mean very nice owner .The WC and showers are in perfect condition with showers having hot water. Overall recommend.
Beautiful place! All the sanitary facilities are clean, and an additional container with toilets has now been placed behind the two cabins. A small stream runs below, very idyllic. A friendly lady came by in the evening to collect payment.
Pleasant campsite. Small, enclosed and equipped kitchen. Heated, clean showers and toilets. We could not get our laundry dry with the tumble dryer; we think it may have been faulty. Otherwise everything was fine!
Very nice campsite in the middle of a forest and beside a stream. A pleasant change from the more desolate places we had visited so far. Good, clean sanitary facilities. However, there are only two communal taps, which were occupied several times by people washing dishes while I only wanted to collect water.
Very pleasant place in beautiful natural surroundings. Trees provide shelter from the wind. Everything you need is available. Sanitary facilities are clean. A nice site manager comes by in the evening to collect payment. Payment by credit card is possible at the vehicle. Absolutely excellent for us and highly recommended!
This campsite is closed as of October 20, 2024. We drove from Reykjavik and planned to sleep here, but had no luck. The app is not updated.
The common room—or rather the communal garden shed—has two hotplates and two dining tables. Sufficient in September. The sanitary facilities work but are basic. One shower costs extra and the other is free. Too few toilets for the number of visitors; there were queues morning and evening. The manager comes to collect the money without introducing herself.
The owner is very helpful. She even had a ladder for us, allowing us to repair our roof vent that had blown away in the highlands. Everything is very clean. If there is dirt, it is caused by the campers. The location is excellent and sheltered from the wind.
Very pleasant campsite, with a magnificent view of the mountains along a stream.
Very nice spot with good services.
Nice campsite. The owner comes in the evening to collect payment. One hot shower is free; you need to pay for the other one.
