Friendly staff, nice pitches, and clean sanitary facilities. Quiet location for relaxing, yet excellent shopping is only a few minutes away by car. We stayed here for a second time on our way back from Spain. Gladly again!

Excellent, cheap site with friendly and accommodating staff. Immaculately kept toilet block with all the facilities you need. Access closed between 1200hrs and 1500hrs. Thanks to the municipality for the provision.

Absolutely beautiful campsite with extremely friendly staff! The approach from the highway to the site is no problem even for large motorhomes, and the pitches provide plenty of space. The sanitary facilities are also very clean and spacious. We highly recommend it!

Absolutely perfect campsite. We stayed one night and when we arrived though the trains might be a problem but heard only silence all night. Clean facilities and hot water. And very good value.

Nice clean place perfect for an overnight stay

Stayed for one night. Very quiet in December. Nice site with everything you need. The manager is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. Lovely walk along the river. The railway runs alongside the site but did not bother us. Slept well and would use it again.

Nice campsite with everything you need. The sanitary facilities are clean and in good condition, the welcome is warm, and the manager is very helpful. The railway line running along the campsite is barely audible, at least at weekends. Highly recommended for an overnight stop.

Excellent campsite for visiting the city. Friendly and helpful welcome, 16A electricity, water points everywhere, but the Wi-Fi is not great. Service station behind reception, chemical toilet disposal by the facilities, which are heated but not very clean. The railway runs behind the campsite, but it did not bother us. The city center is 2.5 km away and can be reached by bike or on foot via a car-free path.

Very nice, well-maintained family campsite with very clean facilities. The caretaker is welcoming and gives good advice about nearby attractions. Ideally located for visiting the city by bicycle or taking the motorhome farther afield.

After being disappointed at another campsite, we arrived at Camping Le Chillou d'Ozon just before closing time. We received a warm welcome from an extremely friendly staff member and were allowed to choose our own spot. Spacious pitches with electricity and water nearby. Everything cost less than €12 per night for two people with a car, caravan and electricity. Wonderful.

I spent two nights at this simple, clean and quiet campsite. Electricity is included in the package, and there are large, shaded pitches. It was the end of the season, so there were few people. Well done to the town of Châtellerault for maintaining this campsite in such a peaceful setting. It fully deserves its five stars.

Perfectly adequate municipal campsite. Staff were helpful, friendly and speak English. Very reasonably priced and an ideal stopover when heading south from the channel ports. You can walk/cycle into town along the towpath.

Good campsite for one night while travelling through. Friendly staff. Toilets and showers moderately clean. A package for a motorhome with four people and electricity costs €14. What about two people without electricity? Dogs cost €3 each.

Pretty shaded campsite. Friendly welcome. Clean facilities. Walking or cycling is possible along the Vienne. Major drawback: the railway runs right alongside the campsite, with freight trains at night, except at weekends.
