Lugar Salgueiros, 27413, Rozabales
Been here?
A quiet farm stay in a closed, slightly inclined courtyard beneath large oak trees, where overnight stays are allowed. The hosts offer homemade food and locally produced wine, with recent food and wine costing circa 20 €. Wine is now sold only in 5-liter bag-in-box containers, not bottles. The approach is paved but narrow, and trucks cannot pass; a 2,35x7x3m motorhome has reached it.

We hesitated to take this road, but the surface is good and we climbed without problems with a motorhome measuring 2.35 x 7 x 3 m. We passed two cars carefully; a truck would be impossible. Fortunately, we were alone because there is a slope at Rosa and José’s place, but we were able to level the vehicle. We spent a pleasant evening with them.
Very friendly welcome. We also received some of the wine made there and a snack, costing about €20 in total. Wine can now only be bought in 5-litre bag-in-box containers; bottles are no longer filled. The site is quiet and located in an enclosed courtyard.
What a surprise and a wonderful encounter with Rosa and José, who passionately run their wine tavern and offer their delicious wine, sausages from their own livestock, tortilla, salad, and vegetables from their garden. It is best to ask via WhatsApp whether and what food is available, and you will be surprised. They only speak Spanish, but gestures worked too.
Lovely host, awesome place. Nice to relax.
Eating and sitting by the fire at Rosa’s was a delight! She cooks with love, and her husband kept the fire going. The atmosphere is homely, and Rosa came and sat beside me to talk about life. A very lovely place to enjoy the local atmosphere.
Spectacular, a wonderful place, a very pleasant couple, and spectacular food. Very peaceful, with a route leading to a viewpoint. We will definitely return.
The same experience as in the previous comments! We were given a very warm welcome, and ate and drank very well. The food was simple and almost exclusively homemade. We were able to sleep there and left in the morning.
Wonderful experience! An authentic furancho, proudly created by this couple, a lovely team who open their home so guests can enjoy their delicious products. In addition to the excellent dinner, we bought bottles to take home and had many conversations that let us savour the magic of Ribeira Sacra, an unspoiled place.
Wonderful country road. Very warm welcome from Rosa & José. Enjoyed seeing their bodega & trying their wine. Rosa made us a delicious meal of tortilla Español, salad, bread, a selection of cold meats & cheese. All home grown ingredients & homemade bread. Great wine, food & company of our hosts. Nice selection of home made liqueurs after made by José & accompanied by Rosa’s homemade donuts.
Pepe and Rosa are very sweet owners who give you a warm welcome. Rosa cooked wonderfully; I paid €25 for three courses and wine. Pepe gave me a tour of the winery, and Rosa showed me the vegetable garden. We had a very peaceful and quiet night in the garden. Many thanks! Highly recommended!
Very nice owners. We ate together and spent an evening by the fire—very homely, with regional Spanish products. There is a toilet with cold water. The wine is excellent. Spanish language skills are useful, but gestures work too. Very peaceful and directly in nature. Thank you for this wonderful experience and lovely evening!
Super-friendly hosts! Although we do not speak Spanish, they made a great effort. We were allowed to pick tomatoes and figs. They invited us to wine, ham, and homemade chorizo. The wine is delicious and inexpensive. The garden was a great place to stay overnight; the gate is closed at night, and we could let our dog run free. Thank you very much!
Rosa and Pepe welcomed us with great love and dedication. The tortilla, wine, and tomatoes were spectacular. The parking area was their property, slightly sloped, but we had a wonderfully peaceful night. The last 10 km of road are narrow, but we had no problem with a large motorhome. We recommend not going during the week to avoid meeting trucks. Thank you so much, a great experience!
A wonderful place. Quiet, authentic, and right in the Ribeira Sacra. Being able to have dinner as we did, accompanied by Rosa and José in their home, with that wonderful food and wine, and then sleep on the same property in complete silence and fresh air—it was an unexpected luxury. Much more than an overnight parking area. We would return a thousand times.
