7 Allée du Parc, 91190, Gif-sur-Yvette
Been here?
Quiet parking near the town centre and a park, with overnight stays generally calm. Cars, a rubbish truck and other activity begin around 8am, while market mornings on Thursdays and Sundays may be busier. The station is 5 minutes on foot, and a metro ticket to central Paris costs 2,5€. Spaces suit cars, and a 5m99 van is slightly long.

We stayed two weeknights, Monday and Tuesday, and left on Wednesday. Two peaceful nights until 8, when the cars and garbage truck start passing. On the last day they were cutting wood early. To find a spot, it is better to arrive at dusk because it is busy during the day, probably because of the nearby train station. We took the train to Paris and it was great.
Parking area in the centre of the village, very quiet at night, but you need to be discreet because many locals come to walk in the park in the morning.
Great overnight spot if you want to visit Paris. The train station is a five-minute walk away and the metro ticket costs €2.50 to the city centre. There is a market on Thursdays and Sundays, so I imagine mornings may be noisy then.
Quiet parking at night. We stayed in a 5.99 m van, which was a little tight in length and extended beyond the parking space. You could park crosswise at night because there are very few, if any, cars at night.
We spent two nights here. It is very quiet, and the streetlights go out around midnight, making it pleasantly dark. There is even a public toilet in the park. We drove to Paris from here very comfortably. It was truly the perfect place to stay overnight. We would come back anytime. Motorhomes would have to park crosswise, as the spaces are for cars.
