Ravine picnic parking, morning honking

There are benches and waste bins. Quiet at night. During the day, cyclists and motorcyclists often stop to photograph the view over the valley. We spent two nights here.

This site has several advantages: it is quiet and offers an extraordinary view, all very close to Gordes, which is a highly touristic town. It is magnificent!

Great spot found by chance while driving. One other motorhome was already there. It is flat and easy to access, unlike the other natural spots around Gordes.

Very quiet out of season (April). The view from the site is magnificent. A second area behind a line of trees offers privacy. Hiking trails start here. Very close to Gordes. The place was extremely clean. A great spot for our first night in a van!

About 2 km from the center of Gordes, where parking with a motorhome is almost impossible. On a hill with a nice view. Flat area with picnic benches, a table, and a waste bin. Beside the road, yet the night was quiet and peaceful.

We only drove past. Several motorhomes were there, with a beautiful view, but it was windy. Certainly a practical overnight option, although it is right beside the road.

Location is very convenient for visiting Gordes and the view is spectacular. There are no services, but there are a few flat spots to park. Locals didn’t care for people spending the night there and approx 10 vehicles honked as they passed during the night and especially early in the morning to express their disapproval at people using it for an overnight spot. Perhaps especially because a campground is very close by.

Although located beside the road to Murs, this is a very pleasant place for a stop with an overnight stay. Beautiful panorama. Plenty of space on grass or asphalt. Flat parking area, partly shaded, with picnic tables. Very little or no traffic at night. We had a very good night. Gordes is less than a 30-minute walk away. Superb hiking in the gorges starting from the motorhome.

We spent our first night in a van here with our two dogs. Great spot: quiet, very large, with a stone table and several bins. We were alone, and indeed there is no traffic on the road at night, so it was perfect. I recommend this place.

Attention: this is a daytime parking area. There is a note stating that overnight stays are prohibited and that the paid camping area at the nearby fairground should be used. Access to the water and swimming area is available. It is very close to residents, so we would only have stayed here as a last resort, since it was already very late. We drove on.
