We parked here to visit the village and have lunch. Very quiet place; we felt completely safe.
Excellent for the night, under the trees beside the Saône. There were three vans/campervans. It is a 50-space parking lot; in the morning it is considerate to park diagonally so everyone has room. On Saturday morning, there is a town market across the bridge, where we bought excellent local products.
Great, and shaded by the trees as well.
Have used this spot for many years and never had any problems like those reports of theft and damage. Here mid June 26 and it's empty apart from 1 other van. The shade is blissfully pleasant under the Plain trees
Quiet parking despite being close to the road, under the trees, with unmarked spaces. Perpendicular to the Saône for vehicles 6 to 6.5 meters long; otherwise park parallel if there is room. 700 meters from the abbey.
As described. We spent one quiet night here. Cars arrived in the night or early morning so please leave space for the locals. Walk to town was 5 minutes over the bridge. There’s also an Aire across the river with 3 motorhomes.
I confirm. There are even more spaces. Very quiet. We feel good here.
Ideal for visiting the city.
Convenient parking beside the Saône, opposite the town and the abbey. Quiet night.
Lovely spot for a peaceful night. I recommend it!
Very good, no services, 700 meters from the abbey and the town.
We stayed opposite, on the other side of the river, and were robbed. During the night at 3 a.m. between December 24 and 25, 2024, our motorhome was broken into. The thieves took my Christmas present and my wallet. We were there with two other motorhomes; when I woke up, we chased the thieves away with our belongings. Take care.
We appreciated the view of Tournus and the peace and quiet. Quiet night. Ideal for vans but no services. Let us respect it so that such places can remain available to traveling poets.
Peaceful place. Lovely view. No amenities.
Great spot to stop and go into town. The turn into the parking area from the road can be tight depending on which direction you come from, but we managed fine in a 6.5-meter van.
