63 Le Vernet de Doré, 63480, Vertolaye
Been here?
A quiet, former campground beside the Dore river, with pleasant places about 15 m from the water. It can suit one night, but some former camping pitches are not always clean. The far end of the track is accessible but not an authorised pitch, and the site has no services. High water and strong currents may create a flood risk during heavy rain.

Good for one night. The spaces from the former campsite are not always clean. Attention: the area at the end of the road is accessible but is not authorized as a pitch. You risk being woken early by an angry farmer.
Pleasant spot close to the Dore River (15 m). However, I did not stay overnight because very heavy rain was forecast (the weather forecast was right), and the river's high level and very strong current raised concerns about flooding the site.
It used to be a campsite where I spent some very enjoyable holidays. The place is quiet and restful.
There are indeed a few places by the river, but they are not inspiring on a rainy day. The GPS position seems strange to me... I am disappointed by the long detour I made. It should be checked.
Very pleasant, but the area is wild. Former campsite. No services.
